Revo Soekatno
Revo Arka Giri Soekatno (born 2 August 1975) is an Indonesian researcher, entrepreneur, and Wikipedia enthusiast. He uses the name Meursault2004. Revo received recognition in the media as one of the Indonesian Wikipedia pioneers as his profile was published in nationally circulated newspaper Kompas on 26 December 2006 following TIME's article person of the year "You" (2006). Previously in 2004, Tempo had printed a story about Wikipedia as "encyclopedia that came from a boarding house", where Revo became the source person for the story, representing the Indonesian Wikipedia. Wikimania
Wikimania is the Wikimedia movement's annual conference, organized by volunteers and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation. Topics of presentations and discussions include Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia, other wikis, open-source software, free knowledge and free content, and social and technical aspects related to these topics. Since 2011, the winner of the Wikimedian of the Year award (known as the "Wikipedian of the Year" until 2017) has been announced at Wikimania. Overview Conferences 2005 Wikimania 2005, the first Wikimania conference, was held from 4 to 8 August 2005 at the ''Haus der Jugend'' in Frankfurt, Germany, attracting about 380 attendees. The Chinese Wikipedia () is the written vernacular Chinese (a form of Mandarin Chinese) edition of Wikipedia. It is run by the Wikimedia Foundation. Started on 11 May 2001, the Chinese Wikipedia currently has articles and registered users, of whom have administrative privileges. The Chinese Wikipedia has been blocked in mainland China since May 2015. Despite the block in China, it is still one of the ten most active language versions of Wikipedia (and it has the eighth-highest number of active users as of August 2021) due to contributions from users from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, and the large Chinese diaspora. Antara is an Indonesian news agency organized as a statutory corporation. It is the country's national news agency, supplying news reports to many domestic media organizations. It is the only organization authorized to distribute news materials created by foreign news agencies. The news agency was founded in 1937, when the country was still a colony in the Dutch Empire, by independence activists dissatisfied with the lack of local coverage by the Dutch-owned Aneta news agency. Antara's operation was absorbed into the Dōmei Tsushin news network following invasion by the Japanese in 1942. Its staff played a key role in the broadcast of Indonesia's proclamation of independence and assumed control of the Dōmei facilities in the region at the end of the war. Javanese literature is, generally speaking, literature from Java and, more specifically, from areas where Javanese is spoken.
