"Revival" is the lead single from Deerhunter's fourth studio effort, ''Halcyon Digest''. The track became available for download via an official email link on July 21, 2010. A 7" pressed on white vinyl was released August 24, 2010 in a limited set of 350. The download contained the tracks along with directions to make a DIY style single, along with disc and back artwork. Deerhunter
Deerhunter is an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2001. The band currently consists of Bradford Cox (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Moses Archuleta (drums, electronics, sound treatments), Lockett Pundt (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Josh McKay (bass) and Javier Morales (keyboards, synthesizers, alto saxophone). Founded by Cox, Archuleta and Harper, Deerhunter's first stable line-up included guitarist Colin Mee and bass guitarist Justin Bosworth. After recording a split EP with Alphabets, Bosworth died aged 24 on March 29, 2004, of head injuries suffered during a skateboarding accident. ''Halcyon Digest'' is the fifth studio album by American indie rock band Deerhunter. It was released September 27, 2010, to universal critical acclaim. It was the band's first album distributed solely by 4AD worldwide (previously 4AD only handled overseas distribution while Kranky handled it within the U.S.) The album was produced by the band and Ben H. Allen, and was recorded at Chase Park Transduction studios in Athens, Georgia with engineer David Barbe. The final track, "He Would Have Laughed" was recorded separately by Bradford Cox at Notown Sound in Marietta, Georgia and is a tribute to Jay Reatard. It is the band's last album to feature bass guitarist Josh Fauver. Bradford James Cox (born May 15, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the indie rock band Deerhunter. He also pursues a solo career under the moniker Atlas Sound. Cox formed Deerhunter with Paul Harper and Dan Walton in 2001. The band has released eight studio albums along with several singles and EPs. Atlas Sound is a name Cox has used since he was ten to refer to his own music. Cox has released three full-length productions under this name. "Vox Celeste 5" is a Deerhunter single released as part of the third edition of Sub Pop's Singles Club. Units were set to ship out in June 2009, but due to delays were not released until August 28. The records were pressed in a limited set of 1,500 on yellow vinyl. The tracks that appear here are re-workings of songs that initially appeared on ''Microcastle ''Microcastle'' is the third studio album by Deerhunter. After the album had been leaked on the internet, it became available on iTunes on August 19, 2008, while physical copies were released on October 27, 2008. Moses Archuleta is an American drummer and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the drummer, occasional keyboardist and co-founder of the indie rock band Deerhunter, with whom he has recorded eight studio albums. Archuleta also records solo material under the name Moon Diagrams, releasing an EP, ''Care Package'', in 2015. His first Moon Diagrams studio album, ''Lifetime Of Love'' was released on June 30, 2017. A second Moon Diagrams studio album, ''Cemetery Classics'', was released in on June 21, 2024. He is the guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of Atlanta-based indie rock group Deerhunter which he joined in 2005. Pundt also releases solo material under the name Lotus Plaza. 4AD is a British record label owned by Beggars Group. It was founded in London under the name Axis Records by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent in 1980 as an imprint of Beggars Banquet Records.
