Reunion – Live In Tokyo
''Reunion – Live in Tokyo'' is a live album by U.K. recorded in April 2011 during their first reunion tour and released in April 2013. John Wetton and Eddie Jobson had performed three concerts in Poland in November 2009, as documented by the live album '' Ultimate Zero Tour – Live'', released in November 2010. Afterwards, both Jobson and Wetton talked about a possible UK reunion tour in the first months of 2010. The first tour was finally announced in February 2011, with a line-up consisting of Jobson, Wetton, Alex Machacek and Marco Minnemann. Three performances at Club Città in Tokyo in April 2011 were professionally recorded and filmed and subsequently released as a double CD, DVD and DVD + CD. The set list noticeably included a performance of the song "Nevermore", which was played live for the first time in the band's history, and two King Crimson Wetton-era tunes. Progressive Rock
Progressive rock (shortened as prog rock or simply prog; sometimes conflated with art rock) is a broad genre of rock music that developed in the United Kingdom and United States through the mid- to late 1960s, peaking in the early 1970s. King Crimson
King Crimson are a progressive rock band formed in 1968 in London, England. The band draws inspiration from a wide variety of music, incorporating elements of classical, jazz, folk, heavy metal, gamelan, industrial, electronic, experimental music and new wave. Allan Holdsworth
Allan Holdsworth (6 August 1946 – 15 April 2017) was a British jazz fusion and progressive rock guitarist and composer. Holdsworth was known for his esoteric and idiosyncratic usage of advanced music theory concepts, especially with respect to melody and harmony. His music incorporates a vast array of complex chord progressions, often using unusual chord shapes in an abstract way based on his understanding of "chord scales", and intricate improvised solos, frequently across shifting tonal centres. He used myriad scale forms often derived from those such as the Lydian, diminished, harmonic major, augmented, whole tone, chromatic and altered scales, among others, often resulting in an unpredictable and dissonant "outside" sound. Richard Palmer-James
Richard William Palmer-James (born 11 June 1947) is an English guitarist, songwriter and lyricist. He may be best known as one of the founder members of Supertramp (playing guitar and songwriter); writing lyrics for several songs by the progressive rock group King Crimson in the early 1970s; and for writing lyrics for the 1985 hit "(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena" by Sandra. Palmer-James was born in Meyrick Park, Bournemouth, where he got his start in the music business playing in various local bands: The Corvettes, The Palmer-James Group (formed with Alec James), Tetrad, and Ginger Man, all of which included John Wetton on bass and vocals. Robert Fripp

Starless
"Starless" is a composition by English progressive rock band King Crimson. It is the final track on their seventh studio album, ''Red'', released on 6 October 1974. Background The original chords and melody for "Starless" were written by John Wetton, who intended the song to be the title track of the group's previous album '' Starless and Bible Black''. Event occurs at 5:15-7:01. Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford initially disliked the song and declined to record it for that album. Instead the group chose an instrumental improvisation as the title track. However, "Starless" was later revived, its lyrics altered and a long instrumental section (based on a bass riff written by Bruford) added to it, and performed live between March and June 1974. Bill Bruford
William Scott Bruford (born 17 May 1949) is an English former drummer and percussionist who first gained prominence as a founding member of the progressive rock band Yes. After leaving Yes in 1972, Bruford spent the rest of the 1970s recording and touring with King Crimson (1972–1974) and Roy Harper (1975), and touring with Genesis (1976) and U.K. (1978). In 1978, he formed his own group ( Bruford), which was active until 1980. In the 1980s, Bruford returned to King Crimson for three years (1981–1984), collaborated with several artists (including Patrick Moraz and David Torn), and formed his own electric jazz band Earthworks in 1986. Jazz Fusion
Jazz fusion (also known as fusion and progressive jazz) is a music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. Electric guitars, amplifiers, and keyboards that were popular in rock and roll started to be used by jazz musicians, particularly those who had grown up listening to rock and roll. Jazz fusion arrangements vary in complexity. Some employ groove-based vamps fixed to a single key or a single chord with a simple, repeated melody. Alex Machacek
Alex Machacek (born 1 July 1972, Tulln an der Donau, Austria) is an Austrian jazz fusion guitarist. Early years Machacek was born to a Czech family in Tulln, Austria. His family had moved to Austria in the 1960s as refugees. Since then, they have adopted Austria as their nation. He started playing the guitar at the age of eight by taking classical guitar lessons for six years at a music school in Vienna. Machacek's early influences were heavy metal musicians and bands such as Iron Maiden, KISS, Deep Purple and Queen. ''Ultimate Zero Tour - Live'' is a live album by Eddie Jobson and his U-Z Project. The album is compiled from 2009 performances in Poland, Russia, and the United States by various line-ups. Musicians include John Wetton, Tony Levin, Greg Howe, Trey Gunn, Marco Minnemann and Simon Phillips. The album marks the first time Jobson and Wetton publicly collaborated since the breakup of U.K. in 1979.
