''Return to Sender'' is a 2004 film written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and directed by Bille August. It was also released on video under the title ''Convicted''. The film stars Aidan Quinn, Connie Nielsen and Kelly Preston. Aidan Quinn was nominated for a 2005 IFTA Best Actor in a Feature Film award for his performance. Quinn plays an unscrupulous attorney who is challenged by Nielsen, his latest client. Operation Return to Sender is the name for a massive sweep of illegal immigrants by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency that began on May 26, 2006. According to ICE, the campaign has focused on individuals deemed to be the most dangerous, including convicted felons and gang members, particularly those of the notorious Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang, as well as repeat offenders, some of whom had already been deported.
