''Return My Heart'' (Egyptian Arabic: رد قلبى, translit: ''Rodd Qalbi'') is a 1957 Egyptian film directed by Ezz El-Dine Zulficar and written by Yusuf Sibai and Ezz El-Dine Zulficar. It stars Shoukry Sarhan, Mariam Fakhr Eddine, Salah Zulfikar, Hussein Riad and Hind Rostom. The film is listed in the Top 100 Egyptian films of the 20th century. Synopsis The film chronicles the story of a poor young man, the son of Janaini, named Ali (Shoukry Sarhan) and his brother Hussein (Salah Zulfikar), and Ali and his immortal love for a rich princess named Engy (Mariam Fakhr eddine) does not see the light of class discrimination, and her father's categorical rejection of that marriage. Their relationship becomes complicated when her father learns of this relationship, so he expels Ali's father, and Engy threatens that he will smite her lover if she does not back down. Ezz El-Dine Zulficar
Ezz El-Dine Ahmed Mourad Zulficar (Egyptian Arabic: عز الدين ذو الفقار, ; October 28, 1919 – July 1, 1963) was an Egyptians, Egyptian film director, screenwriter, actor and producer known for his distinctive style, which blends romance and action. Zulficar is widely regarded one of the most influential filmmakers in Cinema of Egypt, Egyptian Cinema's golden age. Rushdy Saiid El Bughdady Abaza ( arz, رشدي سعيد البوغدادي أباظة) (3 August 1926 – 27 July 1980) was an Egyptian film and television actor. He was considered one of the most charming actors in the Egyptian film industry. He died of brain cancer at the age of 53. Family Rushdy Abaza was born in Sharqia, Egypt, to Egyptian father, Said Abaza, belonging to one of Egypt's most well-known families, the Abaza family. The Free Officers ( ar, حركة الضباط الأحرار, Ḥarakat a-dubbāṭ al-ʾaḥrār) were a group of revolutionary Egyptian nationalist officers in the Egyptian Armed Forces and Sudanese Armed Forces that instigated the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. Initially started as a small rebellion military cell under Abdel Moneim Abdel Raouf, which included Gamal Abdel Nasser, Hussein Hamouda, Khaled Mohieddin, Kamal el-Din Hussein, Salah Nasr, Abdel Hakim Amer, and Saad Tawfik, it operated as a clandestine movement of junior officers during the Palestine War of 1948-1949. The nationally respected war hero Mohamed Naguib joined the Free Officers in 1949. Naguib's hero status, and influence within the army, granted the movement credibility, both within the military and the public at large.
