Return (The Winans Album)
''Return'' is an album by the American musical group the Winans, released in 1990. It was their third album for Qwest Records. The first single was "It's Time", which was re-edited to change the rap elements when gospel audiences objected. The Winans supported the album with North American tour. Some critics dubbed the album's sound "new jack gospel". The album peaked at No. 90 on the ''Billboard'' 200. It sold more than 500,000 copies. ''Return'' was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album". It won the Soul Train Music Award for Best Gospel Album. Production The album was produced primarily by Michael J. Powell. Teddy Riley produced some of the album's new jack swing-influenced tracks. The Winans
The Winans are an American gospel quartet from Detroit, Michigan consisting of brothers Marvin, Carvin, Michael and Ronald Winans. Aaron Hall (singer)
Aaron Robin Hall III (born August 10, 1964) is an American singer and songwriter. Hall rose to prominence in 1988 as a member of the R&B and new jack swing group Guy, which he founded in the late '80s along with Teddy Riley and Timmy Gatling, who was later replaced by Hall's brother Damion Hall. In 1988 Guy released their debut album, which went on to sell over a million copies and was certified platinum. Hall provided lead vocals on songs like "Groove Me," "I Like," and "Piece of My Love." He currently resides in Los Angeles with the occupation as a personal dog trainer. Early life Aaron Robin Hall III was born in the Bronx, New York City, and raised in Brooklyn.
