''Retroactive'' is the fourth solo studio album by American rapper and record producer Grand Puba. It was released on June 9, 2009 via Babygrande Records. Hip hop production, Production was handled by DJ PhD, Billy Brick, Big Throwback, Elements, Grant Parks, Large Professor, Q-Tip (musician), Q-Tip, and Grand Puba himself. It features guest appearances from his fellow Brand Nubian groupmates Lord Jamar and Sadat X, Kid Capri, Big Phill, Khadijah Mohammed, Large Professor, Q-Tip, Rell (singer), Rell, Sarah Martinez, Talee and Tiffani Davis. The album did not reach the ''Billboard'' 200, however, it peaked at number 97 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States. Karizma ( sr-Cyrl, Каризма; trans. ''Charisma'') is a Serbian and Yugoslav hard rock band formed in Belgrade in 1985. Band history 1985–1994 Karizma was formed in Belgrade in 1985 by Dušan "Duca" Janićijević (guitar), Dragoljub "Đoki" Popović (guitar), Dejan Lukić "Francuz" (bass guitar), and Goran "Edi" Tadić (drums), who were later joined by Dušan Zarić (vocals) and Dejan Tomović (keyboards). The band was named after the song "Charisma" by Kiss. They were musically inspired by Kiss, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard. In 1988, Karizma won the first place at Gitarijada festival in Zaječar. During the same year, they released their debut album ''Vreme je za nas'' (''It's Time for Us'') through PGP-RTB. ''Retro Active'' is a compilation album by the English rock band Def Leppard, released in 1993. The album features touched-up versions of B-sides and previously unreleased recordings from the band's recording sessions from 1984 to 1993. The album charted at number 9 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. Overview After releasing only five albums over the course of a twelve-year period, Def Leppard used ''Retro Active'' to break that habit, provide a treat for diehard fans, and close the door on the " Steve Clark" era of the band. Many of the tracks had previously been released as single B-sides. According to singer Joe Elliott, the concept behind the album was envisioned after the success of the "Two Steps Behind" single. The song had originally been demoed solely by Elliott as an electric version in 1989, and was subsequently recorded by the band as an acoustic ballad at the suggestion of guitarist Phil Collen. ''Retroactive'' is a 1997 adventure science fiction action film directed by Louis Morneau starring James Belushi, Kylie Travis and Frank Whaley. Plot Karen Warren, a former criminal psychologist, is driving on a lonely Texan road in the desert when her car breaks down. She hitches a ride with Frank Lloyd, who is traveling with his abused wife, Rayanne Lloyd, on his way to sell stolen computer chips. They are briefly stopped by a state trooper who gives Frank a ticket for speeding, and are passed on the road by a tow truck driver. They make a stop at a gas station belonging to Frank's friend, Sam, who gives Frank evidence of Rayanne's cheating on him with the tow truck driver, Jesse. Tensions rise; Frank shoots Rayanne and attempts the same with Karen, but Karen escapes into the desert where she stumbles upon a laboratory where Brian, a scientist, is testing a time machine on mice. Retroactive continuity, or retcon for short, is a literary device in fictional story telling whereby facts and events established through the narrative itself are adjusted, ignored, supplemented, or contradicted by a subsequently published work that recontextualizes or breaks continuity with the former.
