Republican Football Federation of Crimea (RFFK) is a football governing body in the region of Crimea. History Until 1954, the Crimean championship was part of the Russian football community. There were also republican as well as oblast champions. Between 1954 and 1991 the regional Crimean champions were members of the Football Federation of Ukraine. In 1992-2014 Crimea as part of Ukraine conducted republican competitions. Since 2014, Crimea has been occupied by Russia. Crimea
Crimea ( ) is a peninsula in Eastern Europe, on the northern coast of the Black Sea, almost entirely surrounded by the Black Sea and the smaller Sea of Azov. The Isthmus of Perekop connects the peninsula to Kherson Oblast in mainland Ukraine. To the east, the Crimean Bridge, constructed in 2018, spans the Strait of Kerch, linking the peninsula with Krasnodar Krai in Russia. FC Sevastopol is a professional association football, football club based in Sevastopol, Crimea. FC More Feodosia (; Futbol′nyy klub More Feodosia) was a football club from Feodosia, Ukraine. The club existed before transfer of Crimea as FC More Yuzhnaya Tochka. Sometimes in 1952 it moved to a town of Prymorskyi where it played until 1989. FC Sevastopol-2 was a Ukrainian football club. It is the second squad or Reserve team of FC Sevastopol. The club competed in the Ukrainian Second League football competition of Ukraine for the first time in 2008 but was withdrawn from the competition during the winter break. Previously the Reserve club ''FC Sevastopol-2'' competed in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Football League and returned to that competition of 2009. FC Sevastopol () was a Ukrainian football club based in Sevastopol. The club was a spiritual descendant of the Soviet clubs from Sevastopol such as Chaika Sevastopol. After the completion of the 2013–14 Ukrainian Premier League season due to the 2014 Crimean Conflict, the club ceased its existence and applied for a Russian license with the new name FC SKChF Sevastopol. History The current club was founded in 2002 after another club from Sevastopol Chaika Sevastopol was relegated from professional ranks and dissolved. FC Chayka-VMS Sevastopol was a Ukrainian football club based in Sevastopol. In 2001–02, the club took part in the Ukrainian Second League for the last time. SKCF Sevastopol (, ) was a Soviet football team from Sevastopol, Russian SFSR, later Ukrainian SSR. The club represented sports club of the Black Sea Fleet and originally was called as the Fleet Officers Club, DOF (). Football In Crimea
Football in Crimea is governed by the Republican Football Federation of Crimea. Since the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014, the Federation joined the Russian Football Union. The professional clubs of Crimea were reincorporated under the Russian jurisdiction and placed in the Russian Second League, while previously competing in various Ukrainian leagues. Due to protest from the Football Federation of Ukraine, UEFA ordered to remove Crimean clubs from the Russian professional competitions and instead organized special competitions under auspices of a Crimean Football Union, while preserving the Republican Football Federation of Crimea.
