Song reprises Reprise can refer to a version of a song which is similar to, yet different from, the song on which it is based. One example could be "Time", the fourth song from Pink Floyd's 1973 album '' The Dark Side of the Moon'', which contains a reprise of " Breathe", the second song of the same album. Pink Floyd's 1979 album '' The Wall'' also features a reprise in the form of In the Flesh?/In the Flesh, with the former being the opening track, and the latter being a so ...

Reprise 1990–1999
''Reprise 1990–1999'' is a compilation album by Greek composer Vangelis, released in 1999. Overview It contains tracks from the albums released by East West Records in the 1990s, with two additional tracks that were never previously released; "Theme from Bitter Moon" is the opening theme of the film ''Bitter Moon'' (1992), while "Psalmus Ode" is the theme for the film '' The Plague''. Both unreleased pieces have been re-recorded, or at least represent different recordings from the film versions. "Bitter Moon" is a variation on the opening titles theme and follows the structure of a piece somewhere in the middle of the film, a lot of the synths and strings originate from this scene, but a lead in Vangelis' recognizable cello sample has been replaced by new piano parts, and the whole piece is mixed differently with extra effects, synths and a cymbal sample. "Psalmus Ode" is a variation on the end titles song, where a new bridge has been inserted between chorus and verse, most of t ...

La Reprise (novel)
''La Reprise'' is a French novel in the Nouveau roman style by French writer Alain Robbe-Grillet published in France in October 2001 by Les Éditions de Minuit. It was the first novel published by Robbe-Grillet in 20 years. An English version, translated by American poet and translator Richard Howard, was published as ''Repetition'' (sometimes subtitled ''A Novel'') in 2003. It was also published as an audiobook. The plot follows a French secret service agent, Henri Robin, sent on a special mission to Berlin in 1949. He sees his own Doppelgänger, and the novel becomes more and more mysterious and dreamlike. The story is commented on by an unknown narrator, who points out inconsistencies in Robin's own story, and the novel eventually (according to reviewer Heller McAlpin) emerges as "a Sophoclean oedipal revenge drama, complete with incest, blindness..., parricide and fratricide. It is a comic spy thriller. Robbe-Grillet once wrote: "All my novels are comic. Perhaps ''La Repr ...
