Reol
REOL (stylized as RΞOL) was a Japanese musical unit that consisted of vocalist/lyricist Reol, Vocaloid music arranger GigaP, and movie director/producer Okiku. The members of REOL originally worked as solo artists, but they signed to Toy's Factory as a group in 2015, using Reol's name for the project. Prior to this unit's formation, Reol and GigaP consistently worked together throughout Reol's solo career, eventually releasing an album together titled ''No Title''. Their debut studio album as the unit REOL, ''Sigma'', was released on October 19, 2016. The group disbanded in October 2017. ''Sigma'' (stylized with the Greek symbol ''Σ'') is the only studio album by Japanese musical unit REOL. It was released on October 19, 2016 by Toy's Factory in two physical editions—a standard CD, and a CD and DVD bundle—and for digital consumption. Prior to their formation, each member— Reol, Giga and Okiku—worked with each other on numerous musical projects until finalizing a record contract with Toy's Factory in early 2016. is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and record producer. Toy's Factory
is a Japanese record label founded in the late 1980s as a subsidiary of the entertainment company VAP, based in Japan. On May 30, 1990, it was established as an independent company. Vocaloid
is a singing Speech synthesis, voice synthesizer software product. Its signal processing part was developed through a joint research project between Yamaha Corporation and the Music Technology Group at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. The software was ultimately developed into the commercial product "Vocaloid" that was released in 2004. The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and melody and also "speech" by typing in the script of the required words. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice.
