André Lejeune
André Lejeune (4 July 1935 – 9 September 2009) was a French politician and a member of both the National Assembly and then Senate of France. In the National Assembly from 1981 to 1993, he represented Creuse's 1st constituency as a member of the Socialist Party until he was defeated by Bernard de Froment in the 1993 election. From 1998 to 2009, Lejeune represented Creuse in the Senate. Creuse (; or ) is a department in central France named after the river Creuse. After Lozère, it is the second least populated department in France. It is bordered by Indre and Cher to the north, Allier and Puy-de-Dôme to the east, Corrèze to the south, and Haute-Vienne to the west. In 2020, the population of this department is 115,995, while the official estimates in 2022 is 113,711. Felletin (; ) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Historically, the term Aubusson tapestry often covers the similar products made in the nearby town of Felletin, 8 kilometres away, whose products are often treated as "Aubusson". The industry had probably developed since soon after 1300 in looms in family workshops, perhaps already run by the Flemings that are noted in documents from the 16th century. Geography An area of lakes and streams, forestry and farming comprising a small town and several villages and hamlets situated by the banks of the Creuse just south of Aubusson at the junction of the D10, D19, D23 and the D982 roads.
