René Bielke
René Bielke (born 9 April 1962) is a Germans, German former ice hockey goaltender. Bielke played for Eisbären Berlin, EHC Dynamo Berlin (now Eisbären Berlin) from 1980 to 1992. His goals against average of 1.17 in 1982 is still unbeaten in Eisbären history. He later played for Ratinger Löwen, EC Ratingen and the Krefeld Pinguine. After retiring in 1997 he made a one-game return for Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the Oberliga (ice hockey), Oberliga during the 2004-05 season. Internationally, Bielke gained 31 Cap (sport), international caps for East Germany national ice hockey team, East Germany and 2 for the reunified Germany men's national ice hockey team, Germany. His son Dominik Bielke also played professional ice hockey for Eisbären Berlin before retiring in 2013 due to a hip injury. Prenzlau
Prenzlau (; ) is a town in Brandenburg, in north-eastern Germany, the administrative seat of Uckermark District. It is also the centre of the historic Uckermark region. Geography The town is located on the Ucker river, about north of Berlin. Prenzlau station—which opened in 1863—is a stop on the Angermünde–Stralsund railway line. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the 1872 Scotland v England football match, first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. SC Dynamo Berlin (ice Hockey) Players
The Sports Club Dynamo Berlin was an East German sports club that existed from 1954 to 1991. It was the largest sports club of SV Dynamo, the sports association of the security agencies. The club was reformed after German reunification and succeeded by sports club SC Berlin. The German men's national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Germany and is controlled by the German Ice Hockey Federation. It first participated in serious international competition at the 1911 European Hockey Championship. When Germany was split after World War II, a separate East Germany national ice hockey team existed until 1990. By 1991, the West and East German teams and players were merged into the United German team. The team's head coach is Harold Kreis. The East Germany, East German national men's ice hockey team was a national ice hockey representing the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The first international game was played in East Berlin on 28 January 1951, losing 3–8 to Poland men's national ice hockey team, Team Poland. The team competed in many international competitions, including several in which they competed with the top teams for medals, but won only the European Championship bronze medal in 1966 Ice Hockey World Championships, 1966 in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. The only time they competed in the Olympics was in Grenoble in 1968. They scored 13 goals in 7 games, but didn't win any games leaving them with no points in the standings.
