Club Atlético Rentistas, known simply as Rentistas is a Uruguayan professional association football, football club based in Cerrito de la Victoria, Montevideo. Founded in 1933, the club competes in the Uruguayan Segunda División. History In 1971, Rentistas was the first team of the neighbourhood (barrio) Cerrito de la Victoria that achieved promotion to the Uruguayan first division. They remained there until 1980. Rentistas returned to the first division on three other occasions (1989–92, 1997–01, 2004–07). In 1998 Rentistas inaugurated their new stadium, Estadio Complejo Rentistas, Complejo Rentistas. The club finished second in the Apertura and Clausura, Clausura and qualified for the Copa CONMEBOL, CONMEBOL Cup 1999 Copa CONMEBOL, 1999. 2022 Uruguayan Primera División Season
The 2022 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo de Primera División 2022, was the 119th season of the Uruguayan Primera División, Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 92nd in which it is professional. The season, which was named "Walter Devoto", began on 5 February and ended on 30 October 2022 due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar during November and December 2022. Nacional were the champions, winning their forty-ninth league title after placing first in the season's aggregate table and defeating Liverpool in the semi-final match. Peñarol were the defending champions. Teams 16 teams competed in the season: the top thirteen teams in the relegation table of the 2021 season as well as three promoted teams from the Segunda División. Uruguayan Segunda División
The Segunda División Profesional is the second division of professional football in Uruguay, established in 1942. The league is sometimes referred to as ''Primera B''. In 1942, the Segunda División was established to replace the amateur Uruguayan Divisional Intermedia, Divisional Intermedia, establishing a professional league for lower divisions in Uruguay. The most successful clubs are Centro Atlético Fénix, Fénix and Sud América with seven titles. The current champion is Club Plaza Colonia de Deportes, Plaza Colonia. Martín Lasarte
Martín Bernardo Lasarte Arróspide (born 20 March 1961) is a Uruguayan former footballer who played as a defender, and recently the manager of Nacional Montevideo. He represented five teams in his country, and also had a three-and-a-half-year spell in Spain with Deportivo during a 16-year senior career. Lasarte began working as a coach in 1996, and managed several clubs over the next decades including Nacional where he also had played. Playing career Lasarte was born in Montevideo to a Spanish father and an Uruguayan mother, with the former having immigrated from the Basque Country. In his country, he represented C.A. Julio Rodolfo Neme Moreno (born 18 September 1964) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player. Playing career Born in Montevideo, Neme played for Sud América, Rampla Juniors, Bella Vista, Liverpool Montevideo and Peñarol Durazno as a senior. He retired in 1991, aged 27.
