Jack Renshaw
John Brophy Renshaw AC (8 August 190928 July 1987) was an Australian politician. He was Labor Premier of New South Wales from 30 April 1964 to 13 May 1965. He was the first New South Wales Premier born in the 20th century. Early life Jack Renshaw was born on 8 August 1909 near Wellington in central New South Wales. His parents were John Ignatius Renshaw and Ann Renshaw (''née'' Reidy). When he was six his parents took up a selection near the town of Binnaway. Five years later his father died in a farm accident, leaving his widow to raise eight children. Following Ann Renshaw's remarriage the family prospered and came to own a fuel depot, stock and station agency and butchery in the town. Renshaw was educated at Binnaway Central School, Patrician Brothers at Orange (where he lived with his grandmother), and then Holy Cross College at Ryde in north-western Sydney. Samuel Renshaw
Samuel Renshaw (1892–1981) was an American psychologist whose work became famous for a short period of time during World War II when he taught sailors to identify enemy aircraft in a split second, using tachistoscopic training. He generally worked with fast-reading and enhancing the latent ability of the mind. He believed that most people used only one-fifth of their available mind-power to process information. By using methods of flashing pages he produced students who could read as fast as 1,200 to 1,400 words per minute. Renshaw became involved in the establishment of the Midwestern Psychological Association and served as the organization's Secretary-Treasurer in 1929. For his contributions to the war effort the United States Navy awarded him the Navy Distinguished Public Service Award in 1955. He wrote 23 volumes of a journal ''Visual Psychology''. Robert A. Peter Renshaw (born 1936) is a British creative learning consultant and researcher with a special interest in institutional change and lifelong learning. Biography Peter Renshaw was lecturer in Philosophy of Education at the University of Leeds Institute of Education (1970–75) and Principal of the Yehudi Menuhin School (1975–84). He became the Head of Research and Development at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1984, a position which he held until his retirement in 2001. During his time at Guildhall, together with Peter Wiegold, Renshaw created a masters' programme in music performance and communication skills at the school, which is now known as the Masters in Leadership. Molly Renshaw (born 6 May 1996) is an English breaststroke swimmer. In 2016, she won the 200 metres breaststroke at the 2016 FINA World Swimming Championships (25m). Career In 2012, she won the national 200 m title, but was not selected for the 2012 Olympics because her time was below the qualifying standard. She swam the qualifying time at the Olympic trials of March 2012, but did not win the race, which was required for the Olympic selection. Kenneth Renshaw is an American concert violinist. Renshaw was born in San Francisco to Kerrilyn, a concert pianist and piano teacher, and Curtis Renshaw, a concert guitarist, in October 1993. When he was four, Kenneth started taking violin lessons on a 1/16 size violin. He attended Crowden Music School middle school and later Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts for high school. From 2008 to 2010, he was the concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and made his solo debut in Davies Symphony Hall as winner of the orchestra's concerto competition in 2010.
