Renovation Nation
''Renovation Nation'' is a green home building show starring Steve Thomas (television), Steve Thomas that aired on the now-defunct Planet Green channel in the United States. First airing on June 4, 2008, the show was produced for two seasons, totaling 66 episodes, before being cancelled. A typical episode consisted of Thomas visiting homes that featured various types of green building projects, be they in new construction projects or in, as the title suggests, green renovations of older living spaces. Frequently, homeowners and residences would be featured across multiple episodes, as each homeowner might have been involved in multiple projects such as alternative energy generation, energy conservation and eco-friendly construction techniques and materials. Steve Thomas (television)
Stephen Thomas (born 1952) is an American author, builder and television personality. He was the host of the PBS home renovation series ''This Old House'' from 1989 to 2003 and of ''Renovation Nation'', on Discovery Communications, Discovery's former Planet Green channel, for two seasons (2008–2010) until its cancellation. Biography Thomas was born in 1952 in Pomona, California, and is the eldest of six children. His interest in construction and renovation came from his father who used to buy and repair old houses to accommodate his growing family. The grandfather of Steve Thomas, Rooney Thomas was also a do it yourself guy and an Episcopal Church (United States), Episcopal missionary in the Arctic Alaska, Alaskan Arctic. Education Thomas received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
