''Renoise Tracks 2009–2011'' is the second internet album by John Frusciante, released independently on November 24, 2015 via his Bandcamp and SoundCloud webpages. Background The songs on the album were all recorded between 2009 and 2011 in Frusciante's main studio during various stages of its development while he was working to expand his knowledge of engineering electronic music. The album was made free to download alongside '' 4-Track Guitar Music'' EP and other singles. Frusciante explained his decision to make the release free saying, "It is my conviction that music should always be made because one loves music, regardless of whether one plans on selling it or not." John Anthony Frusciante ( ; born March 5, 1970) is an American musician and the guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, having been with the band across three iterations. He has released 11 solo albums and 7 EPs, ranging in style from acoustic guitar to electronic music. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2012. ''Rolling Stone'' named Frusciante among the greatest guitarists of all time. ''4-Track Guitar Music'' is the sixth overall and first internet EP by John Frusciante, released on November 24, 2015, onto his Bandcamp and SoundCloud. ''4-Track Guitar Music'' was also released the same day and year as ''Renoise Tracks 2009–2011'', his first internet album since 2001's '' From the Sounds Inside''. Recording ''4-Track Guitar Music'' was recorded in May 2010. It is an instrumental EP. The recording of the EP took place while Frusciante was taking a full electronic direction of his music, saying this possibly with the release of his fifth EP, ''Letur-Lefr'', and stating this definitely with his ninth studio album, ''PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone'', and later albums and projects. ''Foregrow'' is the seventh EP release by American musician John Frusciante (including the free '' 4-Track Guitar Music'' release on Bandcamp in November 2015). It was released for Record Store Day on April 16, 2016 by Acid Test (Absurd Recordings). The EP is a compilation put together by Acid Test records gathering four of John's recordings during his initial songwriting period with his more experimental, electronic music which directly followed his work for the Trickfinger record. These tracks were also conceived around the same time of his recordings with Speed Dealer Moms, and even feature a modular synthesizer developed for John by his bandmate Chris McDonald.
