Rennie Keith
Rennie Alexander Keith (born 19 August 1971) is a former Scottish cricketer. Keith was born at Glasgow in August 1971, where he was educated at Kelvinside Academy. A club cricketer for Clydesdale, he was noted as being the most improved cricketer on the Scottish club circuit in 1996. He was later selected to play for Scotland in a List A one-day match against Dorset at Glasgow in the 2nd Round of the 1999 NatWest Trophy, with the Scottish side being described as a "second string". Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Vyvian John Pike (born 13 August 1969) is a former English cricketer. Pike was a right-handed batsman who bowled leg break. Pike made his debut for Dorset in the 1993 Minor Counties Championship against Cornwall. In Pike's first spell with the club, he represented Dorset in 5 Minor Counties Championship matches. In 1994, Pike made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire against Cambridge University. From 1994 to 1995, he played 14 first-class matches for the county, with his final first-class match coming against Glamorgan. In his 14 first-class matches for the county he scored 156 runs at a batting average of 12.00, with a high score of 27. 1999 NatWest Trophy
The 1999 NatWest Trophy was the 19th NatWest Trophy. It was an English limited overs county cricket tournament which was held between 4 May and 29 August 1999. The tournament was won by Gloucestershire who defeated Somerset by 50 runs in the final at Lord's. Format For the 1999 season, radical changes were made to the structure and format of the competition. Each side's innings was reduced from 60 overs per side to 50, in order to bring the county one-day game in line with the format of One Day Internationals. This in turn reduced the number of overs a bowler could bowl in an innings, down from 12 to 10. The number of teams participating was also greatly expanded. Hamilton Crescent
Hamilton Crescent is a cricket ground in the Partick area of Glasgow, Scotland, which is the home of the West of Scotland Cricket Club. Hamilton Crescent hosted the first international football match, between Scotland and England, played on 30 November 1872, which ended in a goalless draw, and was watched by a crowd of 4,000. A plaque on the wall of the clubhouse was placed to commemorate the match in 2002 by Mr John C McGinn, President of the Scottish Football Association. Dorset County Cricket Club is one of twenty National county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Dorset. The team is currently a member of the National Counties Cricket Association Championship Western Division 1 and plays in the National Counties Cricket Association Knockout Trophy.
