Renis Gjoka
Renis Gjoka (born May 12, 1987) is an Albanian singer and songwriter. Life and career Renis Gjoka was born on May 12, 1987, in Tirana, Albania. Gjoka embarked on his artistic journey by initially studying the violin for eight years and later venturing into singing. He began his career on the stage of Top Fest in 2004, when he was 17 years old, as part of the rock group Burn. Over the course of a decade, Gjoka produced hits "Ajo", "Dashuria ime ti", "Sot", "I'a mbathim bashke" and "Superstar", all songs acclaimed with numerous awards in music competitions. He participated in the 52nd edition of Festivali i Kenges with the song "Mjegulla". Collaborations with Aleksandër Gjoka have included the songs "I njëjti do të mbetem" and "Jam i pari i jetes time" as part of rock group Burn. ''Top Fest'' was an Albanian music competition organised by Top Channel. It began airing in 2004 with its last edition being in 2015. The event was annually held in Tirana, Albania. The songs were usually performed in Albanian with artists from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and other Albanian-speaking territories. From its 7th edition (2010), the participants performed their entries 100% live. Format Since 2010, the show has been split into three phases. Broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1962, the festival has determined the country's representative to the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. 2023 Albanian Local Elections
Local elections were held on 14 May 2023 in Albania. Mayors and municipal council seats were being elected in each of Albania's 61 municipalities. Background The 2019 Albanian local elections were boycotted, leading to the Socialists running uncontested in 31 municipalities. Only Shkodër and Finiq were won by opposition candidates, with all other mayors being candidates of the Socialist Party. According to official figures, turnout in 2019 was 22.97% or 812,249 people.
