Rene Mentz (born 26 May 1966) is a South African former professional tennis player. Mentz, a junior Wimbledon quarterfinalist who was raised in Pretoria, played on the professional tour in the 1980s and early 1990s. She reached a career-high singles ranking of 295 in the world. During her career she featured in the women's singles main draws of both the French Open and Wimbledon, making the second round of the latter in 1983. ITF Women's Circuit
The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players. History It serves as a developmental circuit for the WTA Tour, which is run by the independent Women's Tennis Association (WTA). There are several hundred ITF Women's Circuit tournaments each year, spread across all six inhabited continents, with prize money ranging from US$15,000 to US$100,000. Players who succeed on the ITF Women's Circuit earn sufficient points to be eligible for qualifying draw or main draw entry to WTA tournaments. Heather Crowe (tennis)
Heather Crowe Conner (born July 12, 1961) is an American former professional tennis player. Biography Crowe grew up in Massachusetts, attending Masconomet Regional High School, then played college tennis at Indiana University in the early 1980s. A two-time All-American for both singles and doubles, Crowe was the 1982 AIAW singles champion and also helped guide Indiana to the team title that year. While at Indiana, she won the Broderick Award (now the Honda Sports Award) as the nation's top collegiate tennis player in 1982. At the 1982 US Open, Crowe reached the third round of the singles main draw, with wins over Stacy Margolin and Barbara Hallquist. As a doubles player she featured in the main draw of all four grand slam tournaments during her professional career and was runner-up at the Virginia Slims of Utah in 1984, partnering Robin White. Mareze Joubert (born 18 August 1973) is a South African former professional tennis player. Tennis career Joubert began competing on the professional tour in the early 1990s. She reached a best singles ranking of 245 in the world and qualified for two WTA Tour main draws, at the Japan Open and Birmingham Classic in 1994. Michelle Anderson D'Aloisio (born 27 January 1972) is a former professional tennis player from South Africa. Biography Anderson, who grew up in Benoni, was a girls' singles semi-finalist at the 1989 Wimbledon Championships. On the professional tour, Anderson competed in ITF circuit events and was most successful in doubles, with a best ranking of 124 in the world. She won eight ITF doubles titles with countrywoman Robyn Field and 13 in total. Her career was curtailed by a wrist injury, which caused her to miss much of 1990 and 1991.
