Rene Cruz
Rene Cruz was a Filipino sports administrator and police official. He served as the president of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) from 1993 to 1996. Prior to being a POC president, Cruz served as vice president in 1989. Under his term as POC President, the Philippines won a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The country would have an Olympic medal drought until the 2016 edition. He also served as the head of the Philippine Badminton Association The Philippine Badminton Association (PBAD) is the national governing body for badminton in the Philippines. Jose Sering
Jose C. Sering was a Filipino politician and sports executive. Sering served as governor of Surigao del Norte from 1965 to 1980. He also established the Asian Amateur Athletic Association in 1973 and later served as the President of the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association in two non-consecutive period; with the first tenure lasting from 1969 to 1981 and the second one from 1984 to 1991. Sering resigned from his PATAFA post in 1991 in favor of Go Teng Kok. In 1984, Sering was the acting director of the Project Gintong Alay government sports program. Cristina Martinez Ramos-Jalasco is a sports executive and former international footballer. Sporting career Ramos-Jalasco was the first President of the Philippine Ladies Football Association (PLFA) which was established in October 1980 in Baguio herself. The PLFA was later absorbed to the Philippine Football Federation. She was a member of the Philippines national team from 1980 to 1986. She was the captain of the Edward Magallona-led squad at the 1981 AFC Women's Championship. She also led the team to a bronze medal finish at the 1985 Southeast Asian Games in the women's football event which was contested by only three teams. She became involved in karate in 1992 and later became the Project Director of the Philippine Karate-do Federation. The Philippine Olympic Committee Inc. (POC) is the National Olympic Committee of the Philippines. The POC is a private, non-governmental organization composed of and serve as the mother organization of all National Sports Associations (NSAs) in the Philippines.
