Renate Meyer
Renate Meyer (born 6 January 1938) is a former German sprinter. She competed in sprint events at both the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics. Sprinting is running over a short distance at the top-most speed of the body in a limited period of time. The 8th European Athletics Championships were held from 30 August to 4 September 1966 in the Stadium Puskás Ferenc, Nép Stadium in Budapest, Hungarian People's Republic, Hungary. Contemporaneous reports on the event were given in the Glasgow Herald. A new IAAF ruling was applied for the first time making gender verification for female events mandatory.
