The Rena or Renaelva is a river in Innlandet county, Norway. The long river runs through Rendalen Municipality and Ã…mot Municipality in Innlandet county. This river is a tributary of the large river Glomma. Kjøllsæter Bridge connects the east and west side of the river. The river Julussa flows from south through the Julussdalen valley and into the river Rena. The Rena watershed has a drainage area of . The river begins at the confluence of the rivers Tysla and UnsetÃ¥a which is just south of the FonnÃ¥sfjellet mountain and just north of the village of Bergset. The river flows south through the lakes Lomnessjøen and Storsjøen and when the river reaches the village of Rena, just flows into the large river Glomma. Lomnessjøen is a lake in Rendalen Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The villages Ã…kre and Otnes are located on the shores of the lake. The lake is part of the Renaelva river system. The Renaelva river flows into the lake from the north. The south end of the river drains into the larger lake Storsjøen which is about to the south of this lake. History From 1946-1953, the southern outlet of the lake was modified to lower the water level of the lake by about with the purpose of increasing the amount of arable land surrounding the lake and river upstream. Bergset is the administrative centre of Rendalen Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located on the western shore of the river Renaelva, about north of the village of Otnes in the largely rural Østerdalen valley. The village had a population (2012) of 243 and a population density of . Since 2012, the population and area data for this village area has not been separately tracked by Statistics Norway. History Bergset was also the administrative centre of the former Øvre Rendal Municipality which is now a part of Rendalen Municipality. Øvre Rendal Church, built in 1761, is located in Bergset.
