''Remix Stories Vol. 2'' is an EP released by Unkle. It is the second in a series of unreleased remixes from their albums '' War Stories'' and '' End Titles... Stories for Film''. The EP was released on Beatport and vinyl on 6 April 2009, though the vinyl version was limited to 150 copies. The digital version contains all the songs from the vinyl version, as well as 6 additional remixes. Unkle (often stylised as U.N.K.L.E. or UNKLE, occasionally known as UNKLE Sounds) is a British musical outfit founded in 1992 by James Lavelle. Originally categorised as trip hop, the group once included producer DJ Shadow and have employed a variety of guest artists and producers. History First incarnation (1992–1996) The first release credited to the 'Men from U.N.K.L.E' was a remix for United Future Organization, included on their 1992 ''Loud Minority'' single. Lavelle and Goldsworthy were joined by Masayuki Kudo and Toshio Nakanishi of the Japanese hip hop crew Major Force (later Major Force West). Second incarnation (1997–1999) Lavelle drafted in DJ Shadow to work on the debut album, and essentially discarded all previously recorded material. Electronic Music

Remix Stories Vol
A remix, also sometimes called reorchestration or rework, is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, poem, or photograph can be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new. Most commonly, remixes are a subset of audio mixing in music and song recordings. ''Heavy Drug (Surrender Sounds Mix)'' is an EP released by British electronic music group Unkle. According to James Lavelle, the track came about during a late night session, when he and his brother, Adian Lavelle, were working on serveal remix projects, which resulted in what they called a "happy accident". The track was reworked during the sessions for ''Where Did the Night Fall'' set for release in May 2010. A remix was made during the recording, entitled the Surrender Sounds Mix, which was featured on James Lavelle's '' Global Underground 037: Bangkok'', and was officially released on 16 August. It was delayed in USA, due to distribution errors, and was finally released on 28 August 2009. It also featured in an episode of Skins during James Cook's realisation of his actions and his subsequent trail conclousion and the end of the episode. ''War Stories'' is the third studio album by English electronic music group UNKLE. The album was released in Japan on 20 June 2007, UK and Europe on 2 July 2007, and in North America on 24 July. ''War Stories'' debuted at number 58 in Australia. The cover art was designed by 3D of Massive Attack. Release The album was promoted by three singles: "Burn My Shadow", "Hold My Hand" and "Restless". The video for "Burn My Shadow" featured the actor Goran Visnjic and was directed by Miguel Sapochnik. Beatport is an American electronic music-oriented online music store owned by LiveStyle. The company is based in Denver, Los Angeles, and Berlin. Carl Craig (born May 22, 1969) is an American electronic music producer, DJ, and founder of the record label Planet E Communications. He is known as a leading figure and pioneer in the second wave of Detroit techno artists during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He has recorded under his given name in addition to a variety of aliases, including Psyche, BFC, and Innerzone Orchestra.
