Kelly de Almeida Afonso Freitas (born March 3, 1983), known for her stage name Kelly Key, is a Brazilian pop singer, songwriter and TV hostess. Biography 2001–04: Debut album, ''Do Meu Jeito'' and live album Key released her first, Kelly Key (2001 album), self-titled album in 2001 at the age of 17. Her first single was the song "Escondido" ("Hidden") in which she sang the suggestive lyrics 'We went out to make out and to make love'. The song received much airplay thanks to her then-boyfriend, Brazilian funk singer Latino (singer), Latino, who she had dated for years, and the risqué lyrics. Her big breakthrough was the song "Baba" ("Drool") which was the biggest hit in the country during 2001 and 2002. ''Kelly Key'' is the debut album by Brazilian recording pop artist Kelly Key, released on December 22, 2001 by Warner Music. The album brought ten fully copyright tracks, composed by Kelly in partnership with Andinho, Gustavo Lins and Rubens de Paula, plus a remix of "Escondido" as a bonus track. The tracks were produced by DJ Cuca and Sergio Mama, bringing the artistic production was created by Tom Capone and amixagem the Afegan producer directly from the recording studios in New York City. ''Do Meu Jeito'' is the second studio album by Brazilian recording artist Kelly Key, released on April 10, 2003, by Warner Music. Production As opposed to her previous album, where most of the songs were composed by Key, the second album has only one composition of the singer, the song "Então Beija", an autobiography. The tracks on the album are composed by Andinho, Umberto Tavares, Victor and Junior by singer Gustavo Lins. The production of the album was done by DJ Cuca Afghanistan and producer, known on the Rio de Janeiro's scene, exploiting a pop sound with elements of dance-pop and R&B. The theme explored by the tracks are mostly about love relationships, both romantic and disastrous, precisely targeted to teens.
