'' Remington ''is the major-label debut album from American country music artist Granger Smith. It was released on March 4, 2016, via Wheelhouse Records. Its lead single, " Backroad Song", was released independently to radio on March 24, 2015. It was then re-released to radio on October 5, 2015, after Smith's signing with the label. The album's second single, " If the Boot Fits", was released to country radio on March 14, 2016. Commercial performance The album debuted at No. 3 on the Top Country Albums chart, a career high for Smith, selling 24,000 in its release week. The album has sold 81,200 copies in the US as of May 2017. Granger Kelly Smith (born September 4, 1979), also known by his stage name, Earl Dibbles Jr., is an American Southern Baptist minister, radio show host and former country music singer and songwriter. He has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, and two EPs. " Backroad Song" became his lone number-one single in 2016 and he had a second top ten hit with " If the Boot Fits" in 2017. Smith hosts the nationally syndicated radio show ''After Midnite with Granger Smith''. It is heard on more than 100 country music radio stations in the U.S., mostly those owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. Kenneth S. Greenberg is an American guitarist, songwriter, producer, and session musician. He is known for bringing a rock-and-roll sensibility to Nashville recording sessions. James Bryan Sutton (born 1973) is an American musician. Primarily known as a flatpicking acoustic guitar player, Sutton also plays mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and electric guitar. He also sings and writes songs. Biography Early career Sutton's grandfather and father were regionally recognized fiddlers, and Sutton grew up playing in the family band, the Pisgah Pickers. In 1991, he played guitar for Karen Peck and New River, a gospel group. In 1993, he moved to Nashville. Ricky Skaggs Sutton first came to prominence in 1997 as lead guitarist in Ricky Skaggs' band Kentucky Thunder when Skaggs returned to bluegrass. Bouzouki
The bouzouki (, also ; ; alt. pl. ''bouzoukia'', , from Greek , from Turkish ) is a musical instrument popular in West Asia (Syria, Iraq), Europe and Balkans (Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey). It is a member of the long-necked lute family, with a round body with a flat and a long neck with a fretted fingerboard. It has steel strings and is played with a plectrum producing a sharp metallic sound, reminiscent of a mandolin but pitched lower. It is the precursor to the Irish bouzouki, an instrument derived from the Greek bouzouki that is popular in Celtic, English, and North American folk music.
