Relaxed Muscle
Relaxed Muscle are an English electro duo formed in 2002 by Pulp's Jarvis Cocker and All Seeing I's Jason Buckle. In early 2003, Relaxed Muscle began playing gigs. Cocker and Buckle maintained anonymity by assuming the alter-egos 'Darren Spooner' and 'Wayne Marsden' respectively. Billing themselves as "the sound of young Doncaster", Darren claimed to have met Wayne "planting flowers" while doing community service for burglary. Their fictional criminality fitted the project well, with their songs about sex, gambling and domestic violence complementing the depraved character of Relaxed Muscle. While on-stage as Darren Spooner, Cocker took to karate-chopping balsa wood and breaking sugar glass bottles on other band members. However, soon Cocker and Buckle's cover was blown while playing a gig in London, despite wearing full eye make-up and skeleton suits. Trash (nightclub)
Trash was a popular London indie and electro nightclub run by Erol Alkan between 1997 and 2007. It first existed at the original Plastic People in Soho, then at neighbouring venue The Annexe on Dean Street, before finally finding a home at The End off New Oxford Street in the West End of London. It was influential in terms of pioneering and popularising new genres of music, such as the garage rock revival and electroclash, with early performances from bands such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem, Bloc Party, and Klaxons. Michael Duncan Clark CBE (born 29 May 1962) is a Scottish dancer and choreographer. Early life Clark was born in Aberdeen and began traditional Scottish dancing at the age of four. In 1975 he left home to study at the Royal Ballet School in London, and on his final day at the school he was presented with the Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award. In 1979 Clark joined Ballet Rambert, working primarily with Richard Alston, who created roles for him in ''Bell High'' (1979), ''Landscape'' (1980), ''Rainbow Ripples'' (1981) and, subsequently, two solos: ''Soda Lake'' (1981) and ''Dutiful Ducks'' (1982). ''Jarvis'' (also known as ''The Jarvis Cocker Record'') is the debut solo album by Pulp vocalist and musician Jarvis Cocker, released in the UK on 13 November 2006. Overview Two songs from the album, "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time" and "Baby's Coming Back to Me", were previously released on Nancy Sinatra's self-titled 2004 album. The complete version of the song "The Loss Adjuster" appeared as b-side to " Fat Children" single. Steve Mackey and Mark Webber, fellow band members from Pulp play on this record. Jarvis Branson Cocker (born 19 September 1963) is an English musician. As the founder, frontman, lyricist and only consistent member of the band Pulp (band), Pulp, he became a reluctant figurehead of the Britpop genre of the mid-1990s. Sugar glass (also called candy glass, edible glass, and breakaway glass) is a brittle transparent form of sugar that looks like glass. It can be formed into a sheet that looks like flat glass or an object, such as a bottle or drinking glass. Description Sugar glass is made by dissolving sugar in water and heating it to at least the " hard crack" stage (approx. 150 °C / 300 °F) in the candy making process. Glucose or corn syrup is used to prevent the sugar from recrystallizing and becoming opaque, by disrupting the orderly arrangement of the molecules.
