Reigolil River
Reigolil River (, ) is the main tributary to Trancura River in La Araucanía Region, Chile. Reigolil River flows from north to south following the Reigolil-Pirihueico Fault. The river has a catchment area that includes the southern slopes of Sollipulli Volcano in the north and a large portion of land east of Huerquehue National Park. Trancura River
The Trancura River (also known as Pucón River or Minetúe River) is a river located in the La Araucanía Region of Chile. Its headwaters drain the southeasternmost portion of Villarrica National Park, including the northwestern slope of Lanín volcano. The river flows initially to the north and from its junction with its main tributary, the Maichín River, the Trancura turns in a westerly direction until emptying into the Villarrica Lake, after having received the waters of Caburgua Lake through the Carrileufú River. This latter river emerges at the Ojos del Caburgua and is fed by the Liucura River, which further has as a tributary the outflow stream of Tinquilco Lake. The town of Curarrehue is located near its confluence with the Maichín River. The river is used for rafting by tourism companies in Pucón. Reigolil-Pirihueico Fault
The Reigolil-Pirihueico Fault (Spanish: ''Falla Reigolil-Pirihueico'') is a second-order geological fault located in the Chilean and Argentine Andes. As the name implies, it runs from Pirihueico Lake to Reigolil Valley. Reigolil-Pirihueico Fault run in north–south direction and is roughly parallel to the larger Liquiñe-Ofqui Fault, which is located 15 to 20 km west of it to which it is considered a branch of. East of Reigolil-Pirihueico Fault, close or along the Argentina-Chile boundary, are a string of volcanoes pliocene to quaternary volcanoes: Lanín, Pirihueico, Huanquihué, Quelguenco and Chihuío. Geographically the fault is mostly inside two Chilean communes, Panguipulli and Curarrehue. Sollipulli
Sollipulli (; in the Mapuche language) is an ice-filled volcanic caldera and volcanic complex, which lies southeast of the small town of Melipeuco in the La Araucanía Region, Chile. It is part of the Southern Volcanic Zone of the Andes, one of the four volcanic belts in the Andes chain. The volcano has evolved in close contact with glacial ice. It differs from many calderas in that Sollipulli appears to have collapsed in a non-explosive manner. The age of collapse is not yet known, but it is presently filled with ice to thicknesses of . The ice drains through two glaciers in the west and the north of the caldera. Sollipulli has developed on a basement formed by Mesozoic and Cenozoic geological formations. Sollipulli was active in the Pleistocene and Holocene epochs. Huerquehue National Park
Huerquehue National Park () is located in the foothills of the Andes, in the Valdivian temperate rainforest of the La Araucanía region in southern Chile. It lies 145 km southeast of Temuco and 33 km east of Pucón, between the Villarrica National Reserve to the west and the Hualalafquén National Reserve to the east. The park encompasses 125 square kilometres (12,500 ha) of mountainous terrain east of Caburgua Lake, and has an elevation range of 720 to 2,000 m asl. The national park was created on June 9, 1967 in order to protect the area. However, its origins date back to 1912 and the creation of "Benjamín Vicuña Mackenna Park", also known as "Colico", which encompassed 265,000 Ha.
