Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbH is a German railway company that operates local rail passenger transport in Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. The company is owned by Deutsche Bahn through DB Regio. According to its own statements, the company would like to act “lean and dynamic” like a start-up company and thus meet the increasing cost and performance pressure in German local rail passenger transport. This came about, among other things, as a result of the liberalisation of local transport in Germany and the associated tenders in German states. The DB Regio company has lost many routes under this pressure in recent years. The Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) is a List of German transport associations, transport association that covers the Public transport, public transport network of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main, Frankfurt Rhine-Main area in Germany. Bad Soden (Taunus) Station
Bad Soden (Taunus) station is the northern terminus of the Soden Railway () in the German state of Hesse. It is also the northern terminus of line S3 of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn over the Limes Railway (''Limesbahn''). Location and facilities The station is located in the centre of Bad Soden. The entrance building was built in 1847 and the middle part of the building dates from this time. The southern gable of the northern wing and the attached sheds were added in the second decade of the last century. The entrance building is listed as a monument under the Hessian Heritage Act. Next to the platform, there was a long freight shed with its own sidings. These facilities have been removed in the last few years. History The station was opened on 22 May 1847 as the terminus of the Soden Railway. The Austrian Northwestern Railway (German: ''Österreichische Nordwestbahn'', ÖNWB, Czech: ''Rakouská severozápadní dráha'') was the name of a former railway company during the time of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Today, the term is still used (although only rarely) to refer to the railway line which was formerly operated by that company. The privately owned ''Nordwestbahn'' took over the branch of the Nordbahn from Floridsdorf to Stockerau in 1871 and extended it in 1871 via Hollabrunn and Retz to Znojmo (Moravia). Nordwestbahn owned and operated many important lines in Bohemia and Moravia. It was nationalized in 1908 and subsequently lost its significance. Bünde (; ) is a town in the Herford district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Bünde is situated between Osnabrück (west), Hannover (east) and Bielefeld (south). Waterways The town is crossed from west to east by the River Else, one of the few rivers in the world that does not originate from a spring, but as a result of bifurcation. It drains the whole area and discharges via the Werre and Weser into the North Sea. Within the town area it is joined by numerous small streams from the south and north. One of the northern streams is the Gewinghauser Bach, which on its way to the Else crosses water meadows in the district of Ennigloh-Gewinghausen.
