Regina—Lewvan is a federal electoral district (Canada), riding in Saskatchewan, made up of parts of the former Palliser (Saskatchewan electoral district), Palliser and Regina—Lumsden—Lake Centre ridings within the city limits of Regina, Saskatchewan, Regina. History Regina—Lewvan was created in the Canadian federal electoral redistribution, 2012, 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and legally defined in the 2013 representation order. Warren Steinley
Warren Steinley (born April 27, 1982) is a Canadian politician, who was elected Parliament of Canada, Member of Parliament for the riding of Regina—Lewvan in the 2019 Canadian federal election. He represents the riding of Regina—Lewvan in the House of Commons of Canada, House of Commons as a Member of the Conservative Party of Canada, Conservative Party. Steinley serves as the Associate Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Agri-Food, and Food Security and he is also a member of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food. Early life Warren grew up on a dairy and beef farm near Rush Lake, Saskatchewan. His family was very involved with the showing of Holstein Friesian cattle, Holstein cattle across Western Canada. Regina—Lumsden—Lake Centre (formerly known as Regina—Arm River) was a federal electoral district in Saskatchewan, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1997 to 2015. Geography The district included the northwestern part of the city of Regina and extended outward from Regina to Nokomis in the north, Davidson in the northwest and Tugaske in the west. History The electoral district was created as "Regina—Arm River" in 1996 from Regina—Lumsden and portions of Moose Jaw—Lake Centre, Mackenzie and Regina—Qu'Appelle ridings. Palliser (Saskatchewan Electoral District)
Palliser was a federal electoral district in Saskatchewan, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1997 to 2015. It was named in honour of John Palliser, a geographer and explorer of the Canadian West. Geography It included the city of Moose Jaw, the southwest quadrant of the city of Regina and the rural areas around them. History The electoral district was created in 1996 from Moose Jaw—Lake Centre and parts of Regina—Lumsden, Regina—Wascana and Swift Current—Maple Creek—Assiniboia ridings. The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The census, conducted by Statistics Canada, was Canada's seventh quinquennial census. The official census day was May 10, 2016. Census web access codes began arriving in the mail on May 2, 2016.
