Regina Sherwood was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. It consisted of the Regina neighbourhoods of Normanview West, and parts of Dieppe, Mount Royal, Normanview, Walsh Acres and McCarthy Park . The riding was created prior to the 1995 election out of parts of Regina Rosemont, Regina North West and Regina Albert North. It was abolished prior to the 2003 election into Regina Walsh Acres, Regina Rosemont and Regina Qu'Appelle Valley. The Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan is a conservative political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Prior to 1942, it was known as the Conservative Party of Saskatchewan. The Conservative Party of Saskatchewan's first leader, Frederick W. A. G. Kim Trew
Kim Dale Trew (born June 7, 1953) is a Canadian former provincial politician. He was the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the constituency of Regina Coronation Park from 1995 to 2011. He was born in Kyle, Saskatchewan and educated at the University of Regina, receiving a certificate in personnel administration. In 1975, Trew married Lorna Ivy Brasseur. His grandmother, Beatrice Trew, was a founding member of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, the predecessor of the New Democratic Party. Trew served as deputy speaker for the Saskatchewan assembly and was a member of the provincial cabinet, serving as Minister of Labour. He did not run for reelection in 2011. The 22nd Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan was elected in the 1991 Saskatchewan general election, 1991 Saskatchewan election. With 66 representatives elected, the 22nd Assembly had the largest number of Members of the Legislative Assembly, MLAs in Saskatchewan history. Regina Northeast
Regina Northeast is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. This district includes the neighbourhoods of Parkridge, Uplands, Glencairn and Glencairn Village. The district was created in 1967 out of parts of Regina North and Regina East. Between 1991 and 1995, this riding was called "Regina Churchill Downs". Kevin Doherty of the Saskatchewan Party won the riding in the general elections of 2011 and 2016, but announced his retirement from politics in the spring of 2018 and resigned the seat. A by-election was held on September 12, 2018, and was won by Yens Pedersen of the New Democratic Party. Gary Grewal was the candidate for the Saskatchewan Party. Grewal defeated Pedersen at the 2020 general election. Regina () is the capital city of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The city is the second-largest in the province, after Saskatoon, and is a commercial centre for southern Saskatchewan. As of the 2021 census, Regina had a city population of 226,404, and a Metropolitan Area population of 249,217. It is governed by Regina City Council.
