Children's literature or juvenile literature includes stories, books, magazines, and poems that are created for children. In addition to conventional literary genres, modern children's literature is classified by the intended age of the reader, ranging from picture books for the very young to young adult fiction for those nearing maturity. Phaedo Of Elis
Phaedo of Elis (; also, ''Phaedon''; , ''gen''.: Φαίδωνος; fl. 4th century BCE) was a Greek philosopher. A native of Elis, he was captured in war as a boy and sold into slavery. He subsequently came into contact with Socrates at Athens, who warmly received him and had him freed. He was present at the death of Socrates, and Plato named one of his dialogues '' Phaedo''. He returned to Elis, and founded the Elean School of philosophy. Almost nothing is known of his doctrines, but his school survived him and was subsequently transferred to Eretria by his pupil Menedemus, where it became the Eretrian school. Béla Horovitz (8 April 1898 – 8 March 1955) was a Hungarian-born British publisher, and the co-founder in 1923, with Ludwig Goldscheider, of Phaidon Press. Bela Horovitz was born in Budapest. He was the co-founder in Vienna in 1923, with Ludwig Goldscheider and Frederick "Fritz" Ungar, of the publishing house Phaidon Verlag.
