Reformist Party ORA
Reformist Party ORA () was a social-democratic political party in Kosovo. The party supported Kosovo independence. The party was normally referred to as ORA, which in Albanian means the Hour. ORA was founded as ''Civil List ORA'' () in the summer of 2004. During the legislative elections on 24 October 2004, the party won 6.2 per cent of the popular vote and 7 out of 120 seats in the Assembly of Kosovo and formed together with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, a strong opposition. However, in the election held in November 2007, it failed to pass the 5% threshold required to win seats in parliament, netting only about 4,2% of votes. The Democratic League of Kosovo (, LDK) is the oldest and one of the largest list of political parties in Kosovo, political parties in Kosovo. The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo (; sr-Cyrl-Latn, Скупштина Републике Косово, Skupština Republike Kosovo) or the Kuvendi, is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Kosovo that is directly elected by the people every four years. It was originally established by the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo in 2001 to provide 'provisional, democratic self-government'. Veton Surroi
Veton Surroi (born 17 July 1961) is a Kosovar Albanian publicist, politician and former journalist. Surroi is the founder and former leader of the ORA political party, and was a member of Kosovo assembly from 2004 to 2008. Veton Surroi studied Modern English Language and Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He worked as a journalist in the Albanian language daily '' Rilindja''. In 1989, he was one the founders of the Association for the Yugoslav Democratic Initiative and the first independent trade unions in Kosovo. In 1990, he founded and became editor-in-chief of the independent ''Koha'' weekly. From 1991-92, he was president of the Parliamentary Party of Kosovo. Ylber Hysa was a member of the Assembly of Kosovo. He is a member of the Reformist Party ORA and a civil rights activist, and for many years was the director of Kosovo Action for Civic Initiatives (KACI), a Kosovo Albanian non-governmental organization. Gazmend Muhaxheri
Gazmend Muhaxheri (born 27 September 1964) is a politician in Kosovo. He served in the Assembly of Kosovo from 2004 to 2007 with the Reformist Party ORA and has been the mayor of Peja since 2013 as a member of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). He is a nephew of Ymer Muhaxheri, who was a prominent LDK politician in Peja in the 1990s. Private career Muhaxheri is a construction engineer. Teuta Sahatqija
Teuta Sahatqija (born 15 April 1962) is a politician and diplomat in Kosovo. She has served three terms in the Assembly of Kosovo, initially with the Reformist Party ORA, which she led from 2008 to 2010, and later with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). She was Consul General for the Republic of Kosovo in New York City from 2016 to 2020. 2007 Kosovan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 17 November 2007 alongside Municipal elections. Voters elected the 120 members of the unicameral Assembly, the legislative branch of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government that the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo created. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (, PDK) is one of the largest political parties in Kosovo.
