Reeuwijk () is a former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality covers an area of 50.11 km2 (of which 11.89 km2 is water). Since January 1, 2011 Reeuwijk merged with Bodegraven to Bodegraven-Reeuwijk. The former municipality of Reeuwijk includes the communities of Driebruggen, Hogebrug, Langeweide, Middelburg, Oud-Reeuwijk, Oukoop, Platteweg, Randenburg, Reeuwijk-Brug, Reeuwijk-Dorp, Sluipwijk, Tempel, Waarder and Westeinde. Gouda () is a city and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, between Rotterdam and Utrecht, in the province of South Holland. Waarder
Waarder is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the former municipality of Reeuwijk, and lies about 5 km southwest of Woerden. The village was first mentioned in 1108 as Werdere and means "(river) island". Waarder developed as a road on a silted river arm in the 12th century. The Dutch Reformed church is a single aisled cruciform church from the 16th century. Reeuwijk-Dorp
Reeuwijk-Dorp is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is part of what used to be the municipality of Reeuwijk. It lies about 5 km north of Gouda. "Dorp" is Dutch for village, the name distinguishes from Reeuwijk-Brug which is situated 3 km to the east. Reeuwijk-Drop is a stretched out peat excavation village from the Middle Ages. The Catholic St Paul and Peter Church is a Gothic Revival church built between 1889 and 1890. It is characterised by its short nave. Reeuwijk-Dorp was originally the main village, however the Reeuwijk-Brug was more strategically located and became the seat of the municipality from the mid-19th century onwards.
