Redding is an American indie rock band from Belleville, Illinois, near St. Louis, Missouri. Redding take their name from the character Ellis Redding (played by Morgan Freeman) in the film '' The Shawshank Redemption''. The band consists of: *Joey Graves: lead vocals, guitar *Jeff McCullough: bass guitar, piano/keyboard, backing vocals *Danny Gula: guitar *Jon Stamm: drums/percussion History Origin and early years (1999 – 2003) Learning to play music together in middle school, Joey Graves, Jon Stamm, and Danny Gula donned the name For the Moment for their developing garage band. Graves found himself at the helm of writing and recording the music (in the band’s home studio), and Stamm wrote the majority of the lyrics. Belleville, Illinois
Belleville is a city and the county seat of St. Clair County, Illinois, coterminous with the now defunct Belleville Township. It is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Belleville and the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Staind ( ) is an American rock band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Jon Wysocki. The lineup has been stable outside of the 2011 departure of Wysocki, who was replaced by Sal Giancarelli. Creed (band)
Creed was an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida, formed in 1994. For most of its existence, the band consisted of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist and vocalist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. Creed released two studio albums, '' My Own Prison'' in 1997 and ''Human Clay'' in 1999, before Marshall left the band in 2000. The band's third album, '' Weathered'', was released in 2001, with Tremonti on bass guitar. Creed disbanded in 2004; Stapp pursued a solo career while Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips founded the band Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy.
