Roy and Edna Disney CalArts Theater (REDCAT) is an interdisciplinary contemporary arts center for innovative visual, performing and media arts in downtown Los Angeles, located inside the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex. Alte Oper
Alte Oper (Old Opera) is a concert hall in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. It is located in the inner city, Innenstadt, within the banking district Bankenviertel. Today's Alte Oper was built in 1880 as the city's opera house, which was destroyed by bombs in 1944. It was rebuilt in the 1970s as a concert hall with a large hall and smaller venues, opened in 1981. The square in front of the building is still known as Opernplatz (Opera Square). Many important works were performed for the first time when it was Frankfurt's opera house, including Schreker's '' Der ferne Klang'' and Carl Orff's '' Carmina Burana'' in 1937. Ravi S. Rajan is an American artist and academic administrator working as the fourth president of the California Institute of the Arts. Early life and education The son of immigrants from India, Rajan was born in Seattle and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. His father, a physicist, came to the U.S. to study atmospheric sciences at Colorado State University then the University of Washington. He is an executive creative director at OpusLA In 2016. Career Westerman started out as a prop master and art director. Westerman's experience ranges from television to movie and theater productions.
