Red Square (film)
''Red Square'' (russian: Красная площадь, Krasnaya ploshchad) is a 1970 Soviet drama film directed by Vasili Ordynsky. Plot The film consists of two series. The first series tells about the commissar Dmitry Amelin, who goes to the grenadier full to convince the soldiers to join the Red Army. In the second series Amelin becomes the commissioner of the division, led by Kutasov, who plans to organize an imitation of the blow of one unit, which will distract the White Guards. Yakov Mikhailovich Sverdlov (russian: Яков Михайлович Свердлов; 3 June O. S. 22 May">Old_Style_and_New_Style_dates.html" ;"title="nowiki/>Old Style and New Style dates">O. Aleksei Makarovich Smirnov (russian: Алексей Макарович Смирнов; 28 February 1920 in Danilov – 7 May 1979 in Leningrad) was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor. He performed in more than fifty films between 1959 and 1977. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1976). Early life Aleksei Smirnov was born on 28 February 1920, in the town of Danilov, Yaroslavl Oblast, to the Smirnov family: Makar Stepanovich Smirnov and Anna Ivanovna. In the mid-1920s they moved to Leningrad. After her husband's early death Anna Ivanovna had to raise her two children on her own - Aleksei had a younger brother Arkady. Nikolai Petrovich Karachentsov (russian: Николай Петрович Караченцов, 27 October 1944 – 26 October 2018) was a Soviet and Russian film and stage actor of Lenkom Theatre. Karachentsov's popularity peaked in the late 1970s and early 1980s among the Soviet youth after he had starred in rock operas. In 1989 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR. Alexander Leonidovich Kaidanovsky (russian: Алекса́ндр Леони́дович Кайдано́вский; 23 July 1946 — 3 December 1995) was a Soviet and Russian actor and film director.
