Red River Robin Hood
''Red River Robin Hood'' is a 1942 American Western film directed by Lesley Selander with a screenplay by Bennett Cohen and starring Tim Holt. It was released by RKO Radio Pictures. Cowhand Jim Carey, and his sidekick, Ike, have left their former employer to return to Jim's ranch and his business partner, Chet Andrews. Lesley Selander
Lesley Selander (May 26, 1900 – December 5, 1979) was an American film director of Western (genre), Westerns and adventure film, adventure movies. His career as director, spanning 127 feature films and dozens of TV episodes, lasted from 1936 to 1968. Before that, Selander was assistant director on films such as ''The Cat and the Fiddle (film), The Cat and the Fiddle'' (1934), ''A Night at the Opera (film), A Night at the Opera'' (1935), and Fritz Lang's ''Fury (1936 film), Fury'' (1936). To this day Selander remains one of the most prolific directors of feature Westerns in cinema history, having taken the helm for 107 Westerns between his first directorial feature in 1936 and 1967. In 1956 he was nominated for the Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, for his work directing a 1954 episode of ''Lassie (1954 TV series), Lassie''. Earle Hodgins (October 6, 1893 – April 14, 1964) was an American actor. Career Early in his career, Hodgins was active in stock theater, including working in the Ralph Cloninger troupe of Salt Lake City, Utah, the Siegel Stock company of Seattle, Washington, and the Allen Players at the Empress Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He appeared in more than 330 films and television shows between 1932 and 1963. Kenne Duncan
Kenne Duncan (February 17, 1903 – February 5, 1972) was a Canadian-born American B-movie character actor. Hyped professionally as "The Meanest Man in the Movies," the vast majority of his over 250 appearances on camera were Westerns, but he also did occasional forays into horror, crime drama, and science fiction. He also appeared in over a dozen serials. Early years Duncan was born Kenneth Duncan MacLachlan in Ontario, Canada. Before he became an actor, Duncan enjoyed riding, and for a time he worked as a jockey. His accomplishments in that field included winning the steeplechase at Blue Bonnets raceway in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Career Duncan is best known, in some circles, for his work with Ed Wood. Hermon Reed Howes (July 5, 1900August 6, 1964) was an American model who later became an actor in silent and sound films. Early life Howes spent the beginning of his childhood in Washington, D.C. before moving with his parents to Ogden, Utah, Ogden, Utah. He served in the United States Navy, US Navy in the closing stages of World War I and was the Pacific Fleet Swim Team's captain. In 1919, while attending Harvard, he saved the lives of a young woman and another man after they nearly drowned in the ocean at York Beach, Maine, York Beach, Maine.
