Red Mansion Foundation
The Red Mansion Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in London, England. Founded by Nicolette Kwok in 1999, its aim is to promote cultural understanding between East and West through the medium of contemporary Chinese art. Programs and gallery The Red Mansion Foundation aims to promote cultural understanding through a series of exhibitions, exchange programmes, publications and the Red Mansion Art Prize. In 2007 the Foundation moved into its current premises at 46 Portland Place in London which contains a gallery space dedicated solely to an exhibition programme of contemporary Chinese art curated by guest curators. Recent exhibitions have included a group show entitled "Temperament of Detail", curated by Carol Yinghua Lu and Liu Ding, and featuring Hu Liu, Wang Luyan, Wang Wei and Wu Xiaojun, a solo retrospective by Lu Chunsheng, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist of the Serpentine Gallery, and two more solo shows, by Yang Qian and Qiu Jie respectively. National Art Museum Of China
The National Art Museum of China (NAMOC, ) is located at 1 Wusi Ave, Dongcheng District, Beijing, People's Republic of China. Richard Wentworth (artist)
Richard Wentworth (born 1947) is a British artist, curator and teacher. Life and career Wentworth was born in Samoa—then a province of New Zealand—in 1947. He studied art at Hornsey College of Art in North London from 1965, and then at the Royal College of Art where he was a contemporary of Zoë Wanamaker and Tony Scott. Between 1971 and 1987, Wentworth taught at Goldsmiths College and his influence has been claimed in the work of the Young British Artists. From 2002 to 2010, Wentworth was 'Master of Drawing' at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University and was the head of the Sculpture department at The Royal College of Art, London from 2009 - 2011. Rose Finn-Kelcey
Rose Finn-Kelcey (4 March 1945 – 13 February 2014) was a British artist, born in Northampton. Finn-Kelcey grew up in Buckinghamshire as part of a large farming family, and went on to study at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, and later Chelsea College of Art in London. She died on 13 February 2014 of motor neurone disease. She lived and worked in London from 1968. Finn-Kelcey worked in a variety of media including performance, video, sound, installation, sculpture, photography, papercut and posters. Early work Finn-Kelcey's work in the late 1960s and 1970s emerged alongside that of increasing numbers of artists concerned with formal experimentation and conceptual practices. The Shanghai Museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China. Rebuilt at its current location in 1996, it is considered one of China's first world-class modern museums and famous for its large collection of rare cultural pieces. Allen Jones (sculptor)
Allen Jones (born 1 September 1937) is a British pop artist best known for his paintings, sculptures, and lithography. He was awarded the Prix des Jeunes Artistes at the 1963 Paris Biennale. He is a Senior Academician at the Royal Academy of Arts.
