Red House (Hong Kong)
Hung Lau is a house built between 1905 and 1910 on former farmland in Pak Kok, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. It was used by the Revive China Society () as a base for revolutionary activities against the Qing dynasty. Nature and locale It is a Grade I historic building since 2009, a classification which does not mandate preservation. It is named for its red-pigmented external surface rendering. The two-storey house is a mix of Chinese and Western influences. It is near the Tuen Mun Public Riding School, Butterfly Estate and Castle Peak. Antiquities Advisory Board
The Antiquities Advisory Board (AAB) is a statutory body of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with the responsibility of advising the Secretary for Development, Antiquities Authority on any matters relating to antiquities and monuments. The AAB was established in 1976 along with the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) when the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) was enacted, and comprises members appointed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Chief Executive. The corresponding governmental ministry is the Development Bureau, and executive support for the AAB is provided by the AMO which is under the Development Bureau. The Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum is a museum in Central, Hong Kong. It is located in Kom Tong Hall (), at 7 Castle Road, Central. After preparatory work undertaken by the Hong Kong Museum of History, the museum opened to the public on 12 December 2006 to commemorate the 140th birthday of the influential Chinese statesman Sun Yat-sen. Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail
The Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail () was set up in November 1996 by the Central and Western District Council to commemorate the 130th birthday of Sun Yat-sen. It includes 16 spots in the areas of Central, Hong Kong, Central and Sheung Wan in Hong Kong, related to the life of Sun Yat-sen and other revolutionaries in the late Qing Dynasty, Qing era. Originally the Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail had 13 markers; in 2001, it was renovated and renamed, and two spots (now the 1st and the 7th spots) were added to it. In 2018, the trail was further updated under a Revitalization Project, where artists were commissioned by the government to create art at each location. There are multiple bronze markers embedded in sidewalks and handrails throughout the city, noting the trail. Johnny Mak
Johnny Mak Ip-sing (; born 1960) is a pro-ROC and pro-democracy politician in Hong Kong. He has been a Yuen Long District Councillor since 1991 and is the current Chairman of the Democratic Alliance. Biography Growing up in a pro-ROC background, Mak was a graduate from the Tamkang University in Taiwan, studying Japanese language. He was the president of the Hong Kong Federation of Taiwan Universities Alumni Association from 2007 to 2011. He joined the democracy movement during the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. He was member of the first major pro-democracy party United Democrats of Hong Kong which later transformed into the Democratic Party. In the 1991 District Board elections, he became member of the Yuen Long District Council through Yuen Long Town South and was re-elected through Fung Cheung in 1994. Chris Tang Ping-keung (; born 4 July 1965) is a Hong Kong law enforcement administrator who has been serving as the Secretary for Security of Hong Kong since June 2021.
