Recueil Des Travaux Chimiques Des Pays-Bas
The ''Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas'' was the Dutch scientific journal for chemistry. It was established in 1882, but from 1897 (vol. 16) to 1919 (vol 38) it was published under the title ''Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas et de la Belgique'' (, CODEN: RTCPB4). From 1980 (vol. 99) to 1984 (vol. 103), the journal was published under the title ''Recueil: Journal of the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society'' (, CODEN: RJRSDK), but in 1985 (vol. 104), the title changed back to the original one. In 1997, the journal merged with ''Chemische Berichte'' and ''Liebigs Annalen'' to form ''Chemische Berichte/Recueil'' and ''Liebigs Annalen/Recueil'', respectively. In 1998 this journal was absorbed by the ''European Journal of Organic Chemistry'' and the ''European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry''. Chemistry
Chemistry is the scientific study of the properties and behavior of matter. It is a physical science within the natural sciences that studies the chemical elements that make up matter and chemical compound, compounds made of atoms, molecules and ions: their composition, structure, properties, behavior and the changes they undergo during chemical reaction, reactions with other chemical substance, substances. Chemistry also addresses the nature of chemical bonds in chemical compounds. In the scope of its subject, chemistry occupies an intermediate position between physics and biology. It is sometimes called the central science because it provides a foundation for understanding both Basic research, basic and Applied science, applied scientific disciplines at a fundamental level. For example, chemistry explains aspects of plant growth (botany), the formation of igneous rocks (geology), how atmospheric ozone is formed and how environmental pollutants are degraded (ecology), the prop ...

Multilingual Journals
Multilingualism is the use of more than one language, either by an individual speaker or by a group of speakers. When the languages are just two, it is usually called bilingualism. It is believed that multilingual speakers outnumber monolingual speakers in the world's population. More than half of all Europeans claim to speak at least one language other than their mother tongue; but many read and write in one language. Being multilingual is advantageous for people wanting to participate in trade, globalization and cultural openness. Owing to the ease of access to information facilitated by the Internet, individuals' exposure to multiple languages has become increasingly possible. People who speak several languages are also called '' polyglots''. Multilingual speakers have acquired and maintained at least one language during childhood, the so-called first language (L1). The first language (sometimes also referred to as the mother tongue) is usually acquired without formal ...

Chemical Industry In The Netherlands
A chemical substance is a unique form of matter with constant chemical composition and characteristic properties. Chemical substances may take the form of a single element or chemical compounds. If two or more chemical substances can be combined without reacting, they may form a chemical mixture. If a mixture is separated to isolate one chemical substance to a desired degree, the resulting substance is said to be chemically pure. Chemical substances can exist in several different physical states or phases (e.g. solids, liquids, gases, or plasma) without changing their chemical composition. Substances transition between these phases of matter in response to changes in temperature or pressure. Some chemical substances can be combined or converted into new substances by means of chemical reactions. Chemicals that do not possess this ability are said to be inert. Pure water is an example of a chemical substance, with a constant composition of two hydrogen atoms bonded to a s ...

Koninklijke Nederlandse Chemische Vereniging
The Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (In Dutch: ''Koninklijke Nederlandse Chemische Vereniging'', abbreviated: KNCV) is a learned society and professional association founded in 1903 to represent the interests of chemists and chemical engineers in the Netherlands. Currently the organisation has approximately 7,400 members. The organisation supports the professional development of its members who are involved in the fields of chemistry, life sciences and process technology. The organisation is actively involved in protecting the interests of its members. Furthermore, its supports the development and spread of knowledge and inspiration in the field of chemistry. It publishes journals, books and databases, as well as hosting conferences, seminars and workshops. History In the years of 1896 and 1897, two Dutch chemists Willem Paulinus Jorissen and Johannes Rutten made plans to found an Association of Dutch Chemists. Rutten (1873-1946) had obtained the degree of technologist at th ...

Anales De Química
The ''Anales de Química'' was a Peer review, peer-review scientific journal in the field of chemistry. The first issue was published in 1903 by the ''Real Sociedad Española de Física y Química'' (later the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry, Real Sociedad Española de Química, the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry). Its publication ended in 1998. It should not be mistaken with a prior journal from the 19th century, ''Anales de química, monitor de química y farmacia.'' History The ''Anales des Quimica'' were published in the following order: * ''Anales de la Real Sociedad Española de Física y Química'', 1903 (vol. 1) to 1940 (vol. 36; , CODEN: ASEFAR) * ''Anales de Física y Química'', 1941 (vol 37) to 1947 (vol. 43; , CODEN: AFQMAH) In 1948 (vol. 44), the journal was split into two sections: *''Anales de la Real Sociedad Española de Física y Química/Ser. A, Física'', 1948 (vol. 44) to 1967 (vol. 63; , CODEN: ARSFAM) * ''Anales de la Real Sociedad Española de Fí ...
