Recopa Sudamericana 1990
The 1990 Recopa Sudamericana was the second Recopa Sudamericana, an annual football match between the winners of the previous season's Copa Libertadores and Supercopa Sudamericana competitions. Originally, the title was supposed to be disputed on a two-legged series. Due to security concerns on the eventual, first leg in Colombia and schedule congestion; a neutral stadium was chosen for the match to take place. The Orange Bowl in Miami became the venue for this year's Recopa Sudamericana final. The match was contested by Atlético Nacional, winners of the 1989 Copa Libertadores, and Boca Juniors, winners of the 1989 Supercopa Sudamericana, on March 17, 1990. The CONMEBOL Recopa Sudamericana ( pt, CONMEBOL Recopa Sul-Americana), known also as the Recopa Sudamericana or CONMEBOL Recopa, and simply as the Recopa (, ; "Winners' Cup"), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1988. It is a match-up between the champions of the previous year's Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana, South America's premier club competitions. The competition has had several formats over its lifetime. Initially, the champions of the Copa Libertadores and Supercopa Libertadores contested it. In 1998, the Supercopa Libertadores was discontinued and the ''Recopa'' went into a hiatus. Diego Latorre
Diego Fernando Latorre (born 4 August 1969) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a striker or as an offensive midfielder. Career Latorre was born in Buenos Aires. He made his professional debut for Boca Juniors on 18 October 1987 against Platense scoring his first goal at the same match. He won the 1991 Argentine league with Boca Juniors. His good performance took him to play with the Argentina national football team scoring his first goal in a Friendly match against Brazil. In 1992, he joined Fiorentina with Gabriel Batistuta after the pair helped Argentina to win the Copa America in 1991. While Batistuta eventually became one of Fiorentina's all-time greats, Latorre only made two appearances with the club and quickly left for CD Tenerife in La Liga. Hernán Darío Gómez Jaramillo (; born 3 February 1956), also known as El Bolillo (; ''The Baton''), is a Colombian former football manager and former player who played as a defensive midfielder.
