Rebel In You
"Rebel in You" is a song by the British rock band Supergrass. It is the third single from the album ''Diamond Hoo Ha'', and is the band's final single release. "Rebel in You" with B Side "Car Crash" was limited to 1500 copies on 7" white vinyl only, and was released on 30 June 2008, via Supergrass Records. (The release date and distribution, however, were delayed past 30 June, due to a problem at the record pressing plant.) The single is only available for mail-order purchase from the website Supergrass Records, with the first two hundred copies ordered being signed by the band. The single was planned to be distributed by Parlophone, but EMI refused to fund its release or the creation of an accompanying video. The single cover continues the trend of depicting a gorilla's hand. Supergrass
Supergrass are an English rock band formed in 1993. For the majority of the band's tenure, the line-up consisted of brothers Gaz (lead vocals, guitar) and Rob Coombes (keyboards), Mick Quinn (bass, backing vocals) and Danny Goffey (drums, backing vocals). Originally a three-piece, the band was officially joined by Rob Coombes in 2002. The band signed to Parlophone Records in 1994 and produced '' I Should Coco'' (1995), the best-selling debut album for the label since the Beatles' '' Please Please Me''. Their first album's fourth single, " Alright", was an international hit. The band went on to release five more albums: '' In It for the Money'' (1997), ''Supergrass'' (1999), '' Life on Other Planets'' (2002), '' Road to Rouen'' (2005) and '' Diamond Hoo Ha'' (2008), as well as a compilation called '' Supergrass Is 10'' (2004). "Bad Blood" is the second single from British rock group Supergrass' sixth album, '' Diamond Hoo Ha''. It was released on 17 March 2008, which was one week before the album's release date. The song is about a rough night out in Reykjavík, Iceland, as Gaz Coombes explains; "We'd played the Airwaves festival, and it was about four in the morning, and right outside our bedroom window in Reykjavík there were loads of boozy scuffles. A really beautiful town, peaceful during the day – then it just went mental at night with drunken fights and shouting. I just thought the contrast was amazing. We carried on writing the lyrics later, using experiences we'd had, wandering around New York City at two in the morning, the worse for wear, and being excited by the dangers, but also being a bit naive. ''Diamond Hoo Ha'' is the sixth and final studio album by British alternative rock band Supergrass, released in the UK on 24 March 2008, and offers a return to punchier Supergrass songs, in comparison to the more mellow '' Road to Rouen'', their previous album released in 2005. Several songs appearing on the album were performed at Guilfest 2007. In November 2007, the track "Diamond Hoo Ha Man"—one of the songs debuted at Guilfest—was distributed as the first single on a limited vinyl release, restricted to 1500 copies. Nicolas Launay (born 5 March 1960) is an English record producer, composer and recording engineer, currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. Rob Coombes
Robert Joseph Coombes (born 27 April 1972) is an English musician and composer, best known as the keyboardist for the rock band Supergrass, fronted by his younger brother Gaz. Since 2022, he has also toured with the punk rock supergroup Wingmen, consisting of members from bands such as The Stranglers, Johnny Moped, The Damned and Ruts DC.
