Reimagined (EP)
Jamie's Elsewhere are an American post-hardcore band formed in Sacramento, California, United States, in 2005. They were signed to Victory Records before deciding not to renew their contract with the label, and have released three full-length albums; ''Guidebook for Sinners Turned Saints'' in 2008, ''They Said a Storm Was Coming'' in 2010 and ''Rebel-Revive'' in 2014. History Formation and first releases (2005–2008) The band was formed early in 2005 when brothers Matthew and Anthony Scarpelli (guitar and drums, respectively) began writing songs together. In order to audition for the guitar part, Anthony Carioscia flew over 2,000 miles. Tyler Carter
Derek Tyler Carter (born December 30, 1991) is an American musician from Habersham County, Georgia. He was the lead vocalist and founding member of the metalcore band Issues (2012–2020). Carter began his music career as a drummer in local Atlanta bands before joining Woe, Is Me, with whom he released the studio album '' NumberHeadspace'' (2016), and '' Beautiful Oblivion'' (2019). Following the departure of co-vocalist Michael Bohn in 2018, Carter became the band's sole frontman until his own exit in 2020. That year, he co-founded the duo Emerald Royce with Attila's Chris Linck. Carter's solo career includes the EPs '' Leave Your Love'' (2015) and '' Moonshine Acoustic'' (2020), and the album ''Moonshine'' (2019). Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Like the term " post-punk", the term "post-hardcore" has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Initially taking inspiration from post-punk and noise rock, post-hardcore began in the 1980s with bands like Hüsker Dü and Minutemen. The genre expanded in the 1980s and 1990s with releases by bands from cities which had established hardcore scenes, such as Fugazi from Washington, D.C. as well as groups such as Big Black, Jawbox, Quicksand, and Shellac who stuck closer to post-hardcore's noise rock roots. Metalcore
Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Metalcore typically has aggressive verses and melodic choruses, combined with Breakdown (music), breakdowns – which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining traits are low-tuned, percussive guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and polished production. Vocalists typically switch between roaring or Screaming (music), screaming and clean, melodic, emotional singing. Lyrics are often personal, introspective and emotive. ''AbsolutePunk'' was a website, online community, and alternative music news source founded by Jason Tate (the most recent CEO). The website mainly focused on artists who are relatively unknown to mainstream audiences, but it was known to feature artists who have eventually achieved crossover success, for example, Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. The primary musical genres of focus were emo and pop punk, but other genres were included. Absolutepunk was acquired by Buzzmedia in 2008. After Buzzmedia filed for bankruptcy, Tate reclaimed the site's domain and name and consequently shut the site down on April 1, 2016. The Color Morale
The Color Morale is an American metalcore and post-hardcore band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 2007. The band includes vocalist/keyboardist Garret Rapp, guitarists Devin King and Aaron Saunders, bassist Mike Honson, and drummer Steve Carey. Rapp and Carey are the only two members of the original line-up that remain in the band. The group was signed to Fearless Records before they went into a hiatus in 2018. The band officially returned in March 2020. Before the hiatus, the band has released five studio albums: '' We All Have Demons'', '' My Devil in Your Eyes'', '' Know Hope'', '' Hold On Pain Ends'', and '' Desolate Divine''.
