Rebecca Robinson (artist)
Rebecca Robinson, also known as PSNOB (pronounced "snob"), is a mixed media artist from Indianapolis, Indiana. Her work has been exhibited at the Chicago Museum of Science and History, Newfields, the Harrison Center, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum, and featured by the Arts Council of Indianapolis. She also designed custom cleats for the Indianapolis Colts. She is a member of the Eighteen Art Collective that created the Black Lives Matter street mural in Indianapolis. Life and education Originally from Indianapolis, Robinson attended a Montessori school as a child. Robinson studied fashion and design in Atlanta, Georgia. She then graduated from with a degree Art/Visual Communications from North Carolina Central University. Madam Walker Legacy Center
The Madam C. J. Walker Building, which houses the Madam Walker Legacy Center, was built in 1927 in the city of Indianapolis, in the U.S. state of Indiana, and as Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company, it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1991. The four-story, multi-purpose Walker Building was named in honor of Madam C. J. Walker, the African American hair care and beauty products entrepreneur who founded the Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company, and designed by the Indianapolis architectural firm of Rubush & Hunter. The building served as the world headquarters for Walker's company, as well as entertainment, business, and commercial hub along Indiana Avenue for the city's African American community from the 1920s to the 1950s. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail, officially the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick, is an urban shared-use path and linear park located in the vicinity of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Indianapolis Union Station
The Indianapolis Union Station is an intercity train station in the Wholesale District of Indianapolis, Indiana. Currently, Amtrak's ''Cardinal'' line serves the terminal, passing through Indianapolis three times a week each way. Initially, Indianapolis created the world's first union station in 1848. Subsequently, the station building opened on September 20, 1853, at 39 Jackson Place, operated by the Indianapolis Union Railway. Later, a larger Richardsonian Romanesque station designed by Pittsburgh architect Thomas Rodd, was built at the same location starting in November 1886 and opened in September 1888. The head house (main waiting area and office) and clock tower of this second station still stand today.
