''Realms of Magic'' is a role-playing game supplement published by TSR (company), TSR in 1986 for the ''Marvel Super Heroes (role-playing game), Marvel Super Heroes'' role-playing game. Contents ''Realms of Magic'' is a supplement describing a magic system for the Marvel Super Heroes: The Heroic Role-Playing Game, Basic game rules, with numerous demons, dimensions, magic items and spells, and 16 magical heroes and villains. ''Realms of Magic'' includes a pair of gamemaster's screen s, one of which doubles as the cover, while the other is double-sided with the game's Universal Table on one side, three books with a total of 96 pages between them, and artwork from Marvel throughout. Book 1 shows what spells are available to characters, and explains how the spells are cast what effects they have. TSR (company)
TSR, Inc. was an American game publishing company, best known as the original publisher of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D''). Its earliest incarnation, Tactical Studies Rules, was founded in October 1973 by Gary Gygax and Don Kaye. Gygax had been unable to find a publisher for ''D&D'', a new type of game he and Dave Arneson were co-developing, so founded the new company with Kaye to self-publish their products. Needing financing to bring their new game to market, Gygax and Kaye brought in Brian Blume in December as an equal partner. ''Dungeons & Dragons'' is generally considered the first tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), and established the genre. When Kaye died suddenly in 1975, the Tactical Studies Rules partnership restructured into TSR Hobbies, Inc. and accepted investment from Blume's father Melvin. Doctor Victor Von Doom is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in '' The Fantastic Four'' #5 in July 1962. The monarch of the fictional nation of Latveria, Doom primarily serves as the archenemy of Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four. He has also come into conflict with other superheroes in the Marvel Universe, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, the X-Men, and the Avengers. He has also been portrayed as an antihero at times, working with the heroes if their goals align and only if it benefits him. Doctor Doom was ranked #4 by ''Wizard'' on its list of the 101 Greatest Villains of All Time and #3 on IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time.
