Real Oviedo ( Asturian: Real Uviéu) is a Spanish professional football club based in Oviedo, Asturias. Founded on 26 March 1926, the club plays in La Liga, the first tier of the Spanish football league system, after winning the Segunda Division's promotion playoffs. The club plays at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, opened on 30 September 2000, and is the largest sports stadium in Asturias. In the all-time league table for the Spanish top division (La Liga), Oviedo ranks 18th, as it has played 38 seasons. The club's local rivals are Sporting Gijón on the sea coast to its north, with whom the club contests the Asturian derby. The Visigoths (; ) were a Germanic people united under the rule of a king and living within the Roman Empire during late antiquity. The Visigoths first appeared in the Balkans, as a Roman-allied Barbarian kingdoms, barbarian military group united under the command of Alaric I. Frederick Beaconsfield Pentland (29 July 1883 – 16 March 1962) was an English football player and coach. Pentland played club football in the Football League for Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough, in the Southern Football League for Brentford, Queens Park Rangers and Stoke, and in the Midland League for Halifax Town. Juan Manuel Martínez Martínez (born 26 September 1955), commonly known as Casuco, is a Spanish former football right back and manager.
