Real Lies (film)
Real Lies are an English electronic group, formed by Kev Kharas, Tom Watson and Patrick King. They released their debut album ''Real Life'' in 2015. They are now a duo after Watson left the band. The band are from the Holloway area of London and reference the boroughs of Islington and Haringey in their tracks. Their second album, ''Lad Ash'', was released in April 2022, followed by We Will Annihilate Our Enemies in April 2025. Early years The band formed after Kharas and Watson, who met "passing cans between each other in the queue for some shit club" moved into a house next to a reservoir in North London. King, who knew Watson from playing football as teenagers, would often DJ at their house parties which lasted for two or three days at a time. Terry Farley
Terry Farley is a British DJ, remixer and producer from London, active since the mid-1980s. Career Farley started out going to clubs in the late 1970s and first visited Ibiza in 1982. He then started working as a DJ, performing at the same clubs and shows as Paul Oakenfold. He started out by playing reggae and groove music, but by 1987 switched to house music with tracks like "Jack the Groove" by Raze. In cryptography, BassOmatic is the symmetric-key cipher designed by Phil Zimmermann as part of his email encryption software Pretty Good Privacy, PGP (in the first release, version 1.0). Comments in the source code indicate that he had been designing the cipher since as early as 1988, but it was not publicly released until 1991. After Eli Biham pointed out to him several serious weaknesses in the BassOmatic algorithm over lunch at the 1991 CRYPTO conference, Zimmermann replaced it with International Data Encryption Algorithm, IDEA in subsequent versions of PGP. The name is explained in this comment from the source code: "BassOmatic gets its name from an old Dan Aykroyd ''Saturday Night Live'' skit involving a blender and a whole fish. Bestival
Bestival was a four-day music festival held in the south of England. The name Bestival is a portmanteau of the words best and festival. It had been held annually in the late summer since 2004 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. In 2017 the festival relocated to the Lulworth Estate in Dorset. The event was organised by DJ and record producer Rob da Bank along with his wife Josie and was an offshoot of his Sunday Best record label and club nights. The initial Bestival attracted 10,000 people, growing to 50,000 in its final year, 2018.
