Raúl Ferrero Rebagliati
Raúl Ferrero Rebagliati (20 September 1911 in Barranco, Lima – 22 April 1977 in Lima) was a Peruvian politician who served as 105th Prime Minister of Peru for six months in 1967 and 1968. He was Minister of Economy and Finance from January to March 1968. He was later Peru's Minister of Foreign Affairs. The son of Alfredo and Amelia (Rebagliati) Ferrero, he was the fourth child of six children. In 1937, he married Yolanda Costa, the daughter of Carlo and Livia (Elice) Costa - they had 4 children: Yolanda, Raúl Enrique, Augusto and María Elena Ferrero. As an academic and lawyer, Rebagliati served as Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Peru, Dean of Colegio de Abogados de Lima, and as a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration of la Haya. Barranco District
Barranco, founded in 1874 as San José de Surco, is one of 43 districts in Lima, Peru. Its current mayor is Jessica Vargas. The district is considered to be the city's most romantic and bohemian, being the home and working place of many of Peru's leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers. In the 19th century, it was a very fashionable beach resort for the Limeño aristocracy, and many people used to spend the summer here and in neighboring Chorrillos. Today, Barranco's beaches are among the most popular within the worldwide surfing community, and a marina completed in 2008 provides state-of-the-art services for its yacht club. The Christian Democratic Party (), formerly known as Christian Democracy (), is a political party in Peru. Founded in 1956 by Héctor Cornejo Chávez. Not having participated in national politics since 1990, the party is currently not registered at the National Jury of Elections to formally participate in present election cycles.
