The following is a list of characters that appear in Disney's ''Aladdin'' franchise, including the 1992 film, its direct-to-video sequels ''The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves'', the television series, the live-action adaptation, and other spin-off projects. Introduced in ''Aladdin'' Aladdin Princess Jasmine Genie Jafar Iago Abu Abu (vocal effects provided by Frank Welker) is Aladdin's kleptomaniac pet monkey. In '' Aladdin: The Series'', he is a voice of dissent whenever he is dragged into Iago's schemes, though, over time, they go from enemies to friends after Iago's reformation. Abu was created by Disney employee Joe Grant, with animators filming monkeys at the San Francisco Zoo to study his movements. He is based on the thief of the same name from '' The Thief of Bagdad''. The Magic Carpets Of Aladdin
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a ride in the Magic Kingdom, at Walt Disney World. It is based on the 1992 film, '' Aladdin''. It is similar to the Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction in that riders in the front rows control how high their carpets fly, and the ride lasts about 90 seconds. At the entrance, a camel statue squirts guests as they walk by, much like the Stitch figurine outside the World of Disney store. The shops near this attraction are themed to Agrabah's marketplace from the film, and the Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie walk-around characters are often available for meet-and-greets in the nearby buildings. Walt Disney Studios Park ( French: ''Parc Walt Disney Studios'') is the second of two theme parks built at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France. The park opened on 16 March 2002, and it is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Experiences division.
