Razambek Zhamalov
Razambek Salambekovich Zhamalov (russian: Разамбек Саламбекович Жамалов; born 1 July 1998 in Khasavyurt, Dagestan) is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Chechen ethnicity who competes at 74 kilograms. He claimed the 2020 Individual World Cup when he defeated two-time World Champion Frank Chamizo in the finals. An accomplished athlete, Zhamalov is the reigning and two-time Russian National Champion (finalist in 2021 and in 2019 at 70 kg), the 2019 U23 World and European champion, a two–time Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix medalist ( bronze in 2019 at 70kg and silver in 2020) and was the Junior World Championship runner–up at 70 kg in 2018. Frank Chamizo Marquez (born 10 July 1992) is a Cuban- Italian freestyle wrestler who competes at 74 kilograms. Starting his career in Cuba, Chamizo became a World Cup Champion, World Championship medalist and Pan American champion at 55 kilograms in 2010 and 2011, before immigrating to Italy that same year. Since then, Chamizo became the greatest Italian wrestler of all-time, racking up two World Championships (in 2015 at 65kg and in 2017 at 70kg, silver medal in 2019), an Olympic bronze medal in 2016, an Individual World Cup silver medal, a European Games silver medal, four European Championships, in between others. Ivan Sergeyevich Yarygin ( rus, Иван Сергеевич Ярыгин, p=ɪˈvan sʲɪrˈɡʲe(j)ɪvʲɪtɕ jɪˈrɨɡʲɪn; 7 November 1948 – 11 October 1997) was a Soviet and Russian heavyweight freestyle wrestler. Between 1970 and 1980 he won all his major international competitions, except for the 1970 and 1974 European championships where he placed second. Yarygin was an Olympic champion in 1972 and 1976, being the first wrestler to go through an Olympic competition with straight pin victories and no foul points, a world champion in 1973, a World Cup winner five times, has never lost a single match in World Cup competition, and a European champion in 1972 and 1975–76, and won a world cup in 1973, 1976–77 and 1979–80.
